Do we keep either guy? Neither dude solves a need. Probably waive em and sign Bouyea

They're rather overloaded at PG/SG/SF
I don't really see either of them getting a lot of playing time, this is obviously for salary cap purposes.

Gambo vaguely said the trade will open up a spot for Bouyea so at least one of these guys is gone. I liked Coffey when he was on the Clippers, felt like he stood out a few times when we played them.

I wonder if they are able to re-route Anthony or Coffee somewhere for just straight cash considerations

Figured any trade would mainly be a numbers game so not gonna really think about the players yet until we hear they're actually staying
If this is true though, happy for dude
Things been a little tougher for him last set of games but

Cole Anthony is properly aligned. Would like to see him get a chance.

I know they got expiring contracts, but if another trade isn't a place within the next couple of hours, this is a fail.
Suns need size, NOT more guards.

Wonder if we can swap Cole Anthony with another minimum contract PF. Could we swap Cole with Larry Nance jr or something like that?

With Giannis probably sitting for the rest of the year, getting Nick Richards is really good pick up for the bucks.

I like Cole Anthony. I agree that he doesn't fill a need, but I think it was unlikely we were going to turn Richards into anything more than this. I do agree that someone Larry Nance Jr would be fun to get.
Re: Suns Trade Nick Richards and NHD to the Bucks for Cole Anthony, Amir Coffey
I understand the reasoning why we traded Nick Richards away but we need size and just traded more of it away for guards.

Sam Cooper knew what he was talking about. The Bucks are the big winners of this trade deadline.Wally_West wrote: ↑Thu Feb 05, 2026 11:01 amWith Giannis probably sitting for the rest of the year, getting Nick Richards is really good pick up for the bucks.

Just want one more deal for a freaking pf.
Re: Suns Trade Nick Richards and NHD to the Bucks for Cole Anthony, Amir Coffey
I think we’re doing it wrong if we’re evaluating the players in the trade. This was strictly a money saving move. We traded the last two guys in our rotation for 2 other guys that probably won’t play that are cheaper. Doesn’t need to be more than that. We weren’t trying to get better with the trade.
Also, we’ve always had a roster spot, so we can convert one of Bouyea or Livers without cutting Anthony or Coffey.
Also, I kinda like Coffey. He’s got some size on the wing at 6’7. He hasn’t been good for Milwaukee this year, but he has done some good things for the Clippers the last couple years. I think he’s worth a shot.

Coffé did cook us a few time over the last few years
Re: Suns Trade Nick Richards and NHD to the Bucks for Cole Anthony, Amir Coffey
Yeah, I remember he had something brewing against us. But I wouldn't say he roasted us.
