Suns back home against the Magic. The Magic barraged the Kings with 27 made threes last time out while the Suns struggled against the Spurs and lost Booker yet again. Book remains out of this one while Allen is questionable. Suns have been in a funk and need to get back on track. Brooks is back from suspension.

Magic are one of the more baffling disappointments in the league this year. I really thought they were ready to turn the corner and become near-contenders. Instead they've been middling and can't seem to get it together. Anyone got the scouting report? What's gone wrong? Desmond Bane seems to be averaging basically what he's always averaged, just under 20ppg and 38% from 3. Looks like Paolo Banchero's down about 4-5 ppg this year? Is he failing to make "the leap"?

Paolo and Franz are both hurt constantly and don’t seem to play well together anyways…they need a roster shakeup. Anthony Black has been good though

I'm not taking them lightly and hopefully the Suns don't either. They're coming off 27 made threes in crushing the Kings. The Kings' franchise record breaking 15th straight loss, btw.

Hopefully, this will be known as the Ryan Dunn break out game! (I'm not holding my breath.)

Hope we show more pop than we had against the Spurs. Brooks is back so he should bring some energy. Allen is back which is a big help with spacing and depth. No Wagner or Suggs so really need to get this one.
One thing I'm looking for is more movement within the offense. Green's been doing a lot of dribbling but without a purpose and it's bogged down the offense at times. It's good he's such a weapon in the halfcourt but I'm worried he and Brooks are too similar in their ISO tendencies and that could hurt us, especially with no Book.

Been a minute since I watched a live game
Been a tough stretch for us last couple weeks but let's see if we can channel some of that early season energy/flow
Grayson playing and Suggs being out for them is good news with the Devin situation

Watching Dillon Brooks play basketball is like dental work.

No offensive flow, just Brooks and Green taking turns. We gotta get back to running offense.

Bane going nuts. Also I guess Jevon Carter is still mad at us.

Another game where the other team is going to shoot twice as many free throws as us.

Looking like a hot mess today…. Hopefully we clean it the second half.
Re: Game Day: Magic (29-25) @ Suns (32-24), Sat 2/21/26
Bench brought us back to tie it at 33 then the Magic went on a small run to push the lead to 8. Feels like a hump game where we can't take the lead and get control. Banchero's been cold but Bane is killing us.
CG looks good and is getting his offense going, Allen came on in the 2nd half, Oso with some nice dunks inside. Just better flow in the 2nd unit and more defensive effort.
Brooks went to the lockerroom with a left hand/thumb injury after 7 minutes and didn't come back to the bench.
