2026 NCAA March Madness
2026 NCAA March Madness
Little late, but I thought we should have a thread about the college tournament. Y'all watching? I don't really follow college ball but I'm there to root for U of Arizona. Go Cats!

UofA was out-hustled in the first half by Purdue. Boilermakers did a good job also of keeping the 'Cats off the boards.
Second half was a different story, as UofA solved Purdue's defense and learned to deal with their physical play.
That was a great half of play by the Wildcats.

A fun team to watch again. A trade or two away from being a serious contender...
Re: 2026 NCAA March Madness
Yeah U of A was great in the 2nd half. Wildcats in the Final Four baby! They haven't been there since I was literally attending U of A as a college senior. It's about time!
Re: 2026 NCAA March Madness
I don't normally follow NCAA bb but my Wolverines just made it into the Final Four! I have a feeling this will be the real championship game.
Re: 2026 NCAA March Madness
Yea, that will be the real championship game but feel Michigan looks a tad more seasoned for the kitty's.
One of the U of M players said this was the greatest team... I'm sure the fab 5 would think otherwise lol.
Re: 2026 NCAA March Madness
College players are just better now than when the fab5 was a thing.
Re: 2026 NCAA March Madness
Seasoned as in more experienced or more tender and juicy for the kitties to eat?
Re: 2026 NCAA March Madness
Wow, Uconn just took out Duke after being down 19 and took the lead and win on a last second 3.

Re: 2026 NCAA March Madness
Ridiculous ending. Only 10 seconds left. You have a time out available and don't even need to get the ball across half-court. All you need to do is to run the clock out and take care of the ball. Insane that it happened the way it did.

Re: 2026 NCAA March Madness
Exactly! That is firmly on the coach. On the other hand they should never have been in that position after being up by 19 points where they were that close that any single mistake could cost the game.
Re: 2026 NCAA March Madness
It's unfortunate. I think Scheyer is a good coach, and those Freshmen are good and smart players normally. It's hard to predict that this would happen. They were just fraction of a second away from securing that game if the pass got out a 10th of a second earlier. And, that Hurley is a helluva coach. I don't think any Duke fan felt like the game was already decided, even when they were up by 19 points.
