If we've had contact with UFOs and aliens, why hasn't it come out before now? Wouldn't a large number of people have to be keeping this gigantic secret? Conspiracies and secrets this big usually come out.

I mean:

A) There are a ton of people that post things regularly that they see in the skies that don't have explainable answers. If you've ever tried using a cellphone or even a powerful device (I have a Dwarf 3), it can be nearly impossible to get high quality footage of something that far away, in the contrast of a dark sky, to be some sort of 4k HD video to share. Most of the time, people just brush it off as nonsense.

B) There are many people in the research space that have mysteriously disappeared. It is finally getting the attention that had led to a federal investigation.

C) I don't see you or anyone that seem to say much of anything when something tangible actually gets presented to you. Are you just going to discredit the below videos as nothing burgers and not something that has come out before now?

Why not both? I get this constant argument, and I completely agree that the Epstein list 110% should have come out over a year ago. It's insane. The POTUS and many people in power are littered throughout and deplorable people that need to be put away for life (or worse). I also think that this topic needs to get the transparency and traction it deserves because it is far larger than any of us, as humans, and could have massive implications.

A) Just because somebody sees something in the sky and doesn't know what it is, does not mean that it is aliens and UFOs. I have a much higher evidentiary standard than this.

B) I think this story is a paranoid nothing-burger. There's this claim that a loosely connected group of "scientists" or "researchers" have gone missing. It doesn't seem to me that it is very many people, nor that they have any particularly clear connection to each other. I have heard this story used as evidence that some government is hiding pedophiles, that we are killing people who know about UFOs, and basically every other popular conspiracy theory. Happy to hear more if an investigation turns something up, but for now this seems like nothing to me.

C) I am not gonna start believing in UFOs just because of two random videos you found on YouTube, sorry.

In 90 days or whenever it was, when absolutely nothing comes out about this, we can talk again.

Editing my previous response since I inserted a lot of emotion into what I said before and had some time to mull it all over.

A) You used "UFO" interchangeably with "aliens" twice. Those aren't the same thing. UFO literally means unidentified flying object. The Pentagon has officially admitted they're tracking stuff they can't identify. By definition, those are UFOs. You don't need a high bar to accept that. The bar applies to "they're aliens," which I never said. The whole reason they rebranded UFO to UAP was to separate "we don't know what this is" from "it's aliens," and you're mashing them back together to make it easier to dismiss.

B) The videos aren't random YouTube uploads. One is Guardian News, one is CBS. Both are mainstream outlets reporting on footage the Pentagon officially released. Calling that "two random videos you found on YouTube" is exactly the move I was calling out in my original point C. Pentagon-acknowledged sensor footage is not the same as some guy with a phone.

C) Fair pushback on the missing researchers thing. I shouldn't have lumped that in with the rest. One CNN link isn't enough to carry it and I get why it matches generic conspiracy stuff.

On the evidentiary standard thing, people apply totally different bars depending on what they're already comfortable believing. Plenty of folks accept some pretty wild claims based on old stories passed down for thousands of years, but when trained Navy pilots come forward with radar and FLIR data backing them up, suddenly that's not enough. I'm not asking you to believe in aliens. I'm just saying "we don't fully understand what some of this stuff is" is a way smaller claim than how it's getting treated here.

90 days works. I'll be here either way.. The mental clarity I've gained by quitting the weed habit has been a godsend.

I'll definitely be seeing the new Spielberg movie, Disclosure Day. It's basically what we're talking about here. It is heavily inspired by real-world events and UFO reports from the U.S. military.

I still carry with me, to this day, regret with how I handled interactions with Swing. And how I was never able to correct that between him and I before he passed away.
