Brunson really does look like Redd Foxx (google it). But I think he does get a lot of credit and respect around the league. If some folks think he doesn't get his due, I think the biggest reason people forget about him is that he hasn't gone very deep in the playoffs yet with the Knicks. Once he gets them to the Finals, there will be a ton of hype around him. FWIW I think a lot of NBA analysts would already put Brunson ahead of Booker, who does not happen to look like Redd Foxx.
And we could have drafted him. Instead, we chose Élie Okobo two picks before him. Thanks, Sarver! (Not to mention #Dominayton #1.)

I disagree pretty strongly about the CP3 stuff…he’s nowhere near the playmaker CP3 was. He’s a mini Harden who doesn’t choke in the playoffs. He has been a playoff riser, I’ll give him that…Ant has also been to the WCF twice by the way. I don’t think there’s evidence that Brunson is more of a winner than him. Ant is even doing it in the much tougher conference…I guess you can credit Brunson for the Dallas WCF when they beat us, but he was more of a role player then.

I think all 30 teams would take Ant..the Knicks might not admit it, but they absolute would.

Wemby is a cool and interesting dude. I loved the situation earlier this season when he was crying after a tough loss. When questioned about it, he said, "I refuse to carry the burden of hiding my emotions." That is so fucking bad-ass, I love it. He has a strong and brave spirit about him that I really like. Rooting for the guy. Even if it's bad for the league in some ways, I would enjoy an era of Wemby dominance.

Young Wemby, when you can snatch the pebble from my hand, it will be time for you to leave.

Man, this is nuts!
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Knicks looked strong in beating the Cavs last night and are now up 2-0 in their series. I think the Knicks are just a bad matchup for the Cavs and have them figured out. They have been hunting James Harden and exploiting his truly awful defense. Brunson looks awesome. Josh Hart came out of nowhere and scored 26 points last night. Our man Mikal Bridges has also looked pretty good in this series; he had 19 points. Only potential weakness I see is their bench (Knicks bench scored only 13 points the whole game) but if they stay healthy, that's a minor concern.

I don't think the Knicks would have a very good chance against OKC or the Spurs, but they seem to be clearly the best team in the East this year. I bet the league is breathing a sigh of relief that the Finals is unlikely to be (small market) OKC/SA vs CLE.

The Knicks defense has been great in this series, which is odd because Brunson and KAT are supposed to be subpar and people keep saying Bridges is done.

But the Knicks keep daring Harden and Mitchell go 1v1 and it's working (for the Knicks). Harden and Mitchell have a total of 9 assists combined over the two games. That's 2.25 assists each. Those stars have got to figure out how to create makable shots for teammates.

Also want to add that Mikal Bridges is outscoring James Harden in this series. Last night he did it driving against closeouts and scoring in the paint.
"Hey, Jane - get me off this crazy thing called love." - Charlie, but also Suns fans wishing we didn't have to watch more 4th quarter small ball but knowing we will tune in for the next game.

I hate the ref baiting so much that I'm rooting for the Spurs over the Thunder. They've become real heals in the WWE, er, I mean NBA. Plus, it doesn't hurt that I net $126 on a $10 bet if the Spurs win it all. Or I could cash it out now for a $20 profit.

Many people have been complaining about how often stars are falling to the ground after shooting this playoffs. Now we can really see how consistently this has been happening. 🤯

SGAs not-fouled percentage is pretty low because they always call the foul.
