Good value for the Suns.

Amazing value if he somehow manages to start playing 60+ games every season.

Good with the contracts we've given out. I'd like to think they're moveable if need be, especially Williams if and when Maluach is ready for a bigger role. If we can aggregate some of these smaller deals for a bigger contract/better player....

So that leaves us about 7.5m to sign other fee agents or will that get chewed up by some of the team options we still have? Just trying to clarify if have any wiggle room for FAs or if trades and TO declines would be necessary for that. Does 7.5m buy much these days ?

We could use the TPMLE…I think it is about 6.1 million. That’s really all we have…but we also have 15 players under contract.

Probably just gives us some leeway to take on a bit more money if we were to trade a guy like Royce for a Bobby Portis.

I don't see us really making moves though. Maybe when we get to mid season.

Great contract. I'm feeling very positive about our off-season so far.

Another solid deal.

I can't really complain about the money they've spend on retaining the FAs.

If it’s first-half of the season Williams - great deal. If it’s second half Williams - oof.

I'm pretty happy with this signing. I know some folks think we should just give the car keys to ManMan at C, but I don't think he is really ready yet. I would rather have the positional depth with Williams starting most games, and ManMan / Oso behind him. That also gives us two real centers even if Williams has to miss a few games. Health and injuries are a concern with Williams, but he got through most of last season in good health before hitting a snag in the playoffs. I think the terms of the contract are pretty reasonable and we aren't at too much risk. And I do think Williams gives us a strength and inside presence that ManMan and Oso don't. He's the best of our centers when everything is clicking. I think he is a pretty decent starter-caliber NBA center, and if he actually plays 60-70 games, the contract is a steal.

In the big picture, if you think that last year's team was no fluke, the best thing we could do was to keep the band together and try again with another year of seasoning and growth. They've 100% done that. They re-signed all of our key FAs and haven't lost anyone of value. Now if we want to we can make a trade around the margins for Grayson and/or Royce, but we could also stand pat and run it back. I'm pretty happy overall. I would still favor a Jalen Green trade, but you can't just conjure one out of thin air.

Good value on the contract.

Less than I thought he'd take both in per and years so pretty good. I think we hit the sweet spot with all three contracts this offseason.

The important thing this offseason was holding onto their long-term assets. Until Beal comes off the cap and they start having more draft choices they have limited options for acquiring players who would make an impact. Building a deep roster with players on affordable contracts is probably the best option to aim for right now.

Brooks, Green, Allen, O'Neale, Williams, Ighodaro, Gillespie, Goodwin, Fleming, Maluach and Dunn all have reasonable contracts which should give them flexibility in any future trades. And Gregory has been pretty creative in putting together deals considering their limited number of draft choices.

Put me down as cautiously optimistic.

Same. Been thoroughly surprised by Gregory.

I agree with this. And as much as I want to trade Royce, I think we’d get a much better haul by waiting until closer to the trade deadline when teams have injuries and contenders are looking to shore up weaknesses.
