Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition
Re: Suns News: 2026 Postseason Edition
Brown would be great. I think Boston will get better offers though. Our 1sts are pretty low quality 1sts.
Garland is the guy I’m watching. Or Jrue, but I don’t think our front office will trade for him because of his age.

No! We need Goodwin's rebounding and D. Find another slant.

Well we did have a high-quality 1st sitting in our pocket for…4 days.

This thread title keeps confusing me—shouldn’t it be “Offseason” not “Postseason”?

We did…but the other one wasn’t great. I don’t think Grayson/Green/27 and 33 1sts beats the Philly offer. We’d have to include Fleming or Maluach.
Re: Suns News: 2026 Postseason Edition
I don’t know, I would think Green has more value than Paul George at this point.

I think I would have agreed before the playoffs, but PG actually looked pretty good. But I do think the picks are also not as good. 33 would be great, 27 not so much.
Re: Suns News: 2026 Postseason Edition
More value in terms of the contract vs. the player but maybe not as much in terms of on court performance. And I’m one of the Green defenders on this forum.JeremyG wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2026 3:53 pmI don’t know, I would think Green has more value than Paul George at this point.
Re: Suns News: 2026 Postseason Edition
OK. Does he take Gillespie's minutes and we go full point-Book? Or does Kennard take Fleming's minutes and we go smaller and older?
I was pretty sour last season about how much we played Grayson and Royce. I hope we don't just replace those minutes with Luke and Miles.

Re: Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition
I think you establish a culture of 120% effort on defense and take any good shot even if it’s early in the shot clock and 3 feet behind the 3 point line, and that required Grayson Royce and Jordan Goodwin minutes that made this team consistently trot out one of the smallest lineups in memory. And you do want to develop the young guys but not give them large chunks of minutes before they earn them and you teach them when there are reachable moments. I think what happened last year was acceptable even if it was hard to watch. Now that Ott has established himself as a legitimately good NBA coach and Rasheer and to a lesser extent Man Man have shown that they can produce in spurts, I do hope to see both for 10 min per game for a chance to earn a bigger role.

That's a good question. But I wouldn't mind so much replacing those minutes with Luke and Miles. We'd be replacing two shooters with one shooter and a PF which we have been missing. But I do want to see Fleming and Maluach's minutes increase as well. Have Bridges and Fleming spell each other. The tricky thing will be at center with Williams, Oso, and Maluach but William's injury history might alleviate some of that.O_Gardino wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2026 7:11 amOK. I just do not want to see a 4 guard lineup with Oso. That is my only wish.

The timeline guys had an interesting trade idea if Sabonis doesn’t get moved by the start of the season.
Trade Jalen Green, Mark Williams and a pick for Sabonis. Would make us even bigger and give us actual playmaker outside of Booker.

I've always loved the idea of Sabonis, but something doesn't add up when he's on the court. Nobody gets better with him, it is fascinating.

It's his defense. He's not a rim protector or a guy who can guard out on the floor.

I like Sabonis except for on defense and on offense.

I’d rather just play it out then take that…a 2027 Boston 1st isn’t great. The 2028 one is good…2031, who knows. And then you have to take PG? No thanks.
