Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition
Re: Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition
Granted we need draft picks, I wouldn’t trust this organization keeping them since we treat them as parting gifts for any trades we do.

Booker could get traded for a ham sandwich and some of you guys would spin it as a win for the Suns.
Re: Suns News: 2026 Postseason Edition
I think the problem is going to be that they are running four volume scorers that to varying degrees are inefficient and just kind of get theirs. It's going to be very easy for the offense to devolve into guys taking turns just going one-on-one.The Bobster wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2026 6:48 amThe biggest problem is the Booker/Green pairing in the backcourt and that they need a real PG to run the team and create shots.

True, there is a lot of time left but so many of these teams have made a ton of moves to where there isn't much left that they can do. In the West I just think we're left to see the following:
- Does Jalen Green get traded?
- Does Portland use their glut of point guards to make another significant move?
- How does Minnesota address their frontcourt vacancies?
- Does Golden State get LeBron?

They desperately need a playmaker. Can only hope it's a matter of time they use Green to find that piece.INFORMER wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2026 6:26 amI think the problem is going to be that they are running four volume scorers that to varying degrees are inefficient and just kind of get theirs. I think we might still see a Green for Dejounte Murray trade. I used to question if the Suns would want Murray because he has some character issues, but now I see that was a silly concern.

It's funny, when all this Jaylen-Brown-Advanced-Stats-Huge-Contract trade rationalizing was flooding social media, I thought that a lot of those points could be made about Devin Booker. And here we go...

Denver and Houston could just run it back, but those are teams I’m watching as well. There were rumors Denver would have to shed salary to keep Watson.INFORMER wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2026 6:31 amTrue, there is a lot of time left but so many of these teams have made a ton of moves to where there isn't much left that they can do. Lebron is addicted to narratives, I’m guessing he is going back to Cleveland and just waiting for the right moment to get the full spotlight and more than just a few hours on the news cycle.

We've seen how well that works. I'd like to think Ott won't let that happen.INFORMER wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2026 6:26 amI think the problem is going to be that they are running four volume scorers that to varying degrees are inefficient and just kind of get theirs. He really should set up that ESPN interview telling us where he's taking his talents. It would be a nice full circle moment to end his career.Aztec Sunsfan wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2026 11:38 amLebron is addicted to narratives, I’m guessing he is going back to Cleveland and just waiting for the right moment to get the full spotlight and more than just a few hours on the news cycle.

This isn’t news but the excitement of free agency is dying down so …
Re: Suns News: 2026 Offseason Edition
Ya…we have a severe lack of playmaking and Oso is one of our 3 best passers.

His lineups in the last half of the season and playoffs have me really worried about us relying on Ott.Superbone wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2026 11:38 amWe've seen how well that works. It will be interesting to see how he utilizes our personnel to start next season. I do think Fleming will have a larger role. Maluach too.iLLmatic wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2026 9:14 pmHis lineups in the last half of the season and playoffs have me really worried about us relying on Ott.Superbone wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2026 11:38 amWe've seen how well that works. If we can’t trust the coach to play the best lineups out of his available players, then we simply hired the wrong coach. As we all feared a year ago.
