All Things Ayton
Re: All Things Ayton
Really inefficient though…I would take the Ayton we got in the 2021 finals run over any version of either.
Re: All Things Ayton
To no one’s surprise…. He opted into his player option since he knows testing the market would net him jack squat.
Re: All Things Ayton
He has become the wise sage in his eight seasons. LOL. At least he knows he's not Dominayton the league.

Re: All Things Ayton
Ayton traded to the Wizards.
Re: All Things Ayton
The Walker Kessler transaction made me think of Ayton. It's incredible how Utah leveraged his restricted free agency, and it's incredible the price the Lakers were willing to pay. Made me think back to Ayton's restricted free agency and then later giving up Camara to move him. Just depressing.
NBA Draft 2026: Quadir Copeland. Nick Martinelli. Trey Kaufman-Renn. Graham Ike.

Ott doesn't play wings over 6'7" anyway.INFORMER wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2026 10:57 amThe Walker Kessler transaction made me think of Ayton. Wow. How the former #1 has fallen. I've never even heard of Jaden Hardy.

Next stop China. Are we dominating yet?
Re: All Things Ayton
I don't see it. I don't think he loves the game enough to go to China to continue his career. Besides, he's made enough for generational wealth as it is.

Re: All Things Ayton
He went straight to the G-League. Didn't play college ball. Decent shooter, but surprised to see even Ayton traded for a 6' 3" kid that does not have PG skills.
Go Suns!

Re: All Things Ayton
It's all pretty sad actually. Especially for us. But we'll always have the Valley-Oop and the 2021 Finals in spite of how it turned out after such a promising start. And to think I was at that Game 2 where it looked like we were teetering on the edge of our first even NBA championship. Sigh.
However, I did get a life changing event a couple games later out of it so I can't complain.

Re: All Things Ayton
Fact: we have not won a playoff game since trading Deandre Ayton. Our last playoff victory was May 7, 2023, Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals vs. the eventual champion Denver Nuggets, when Deandre Ayton helped seal the win in the final minutes, to tie the series 2-2, before getting injured in game 5. And we haven't won a game since.
