Yeah, I don't get it with Brea. Is it a mental thing? All his college highlights he rarely even touched rim. Now his shot looks way off for the most part.

He was never good for much more than a pretty looking shot last season.

We don't know the game plan, but that Booker impersonation stuff he was trying to do in the first half isn't helping anyone. He's not that guy. Also not having a guard who could distribute hurt him and Fleming the most.

IDK why Fleming hesitates so much on the ball. It's really noticeable by comparison to Peat.

I think Peat has just always been the man on his teams. He wants the ball and is aggressive and decisive. Fleming is later to developing as a basketball player. He had two nice plays where he created in the mid range, but he’s way more used to being a role player…maybe some shades of Mikal in that way. He also took some time to be aggressive on offense…still can disappear and be pretty passive even today.

Didn't stay up late for this one, but watched the clips and looked at the box score. Very encouraging game! All of Maluach, Fleming, and Peat had pretty good games. Sad to see that Brea stunk it up; I had hopes for him but he really hasn't shown anything at the pro level yet. ManMan hitting so many 3s is great to see. And Peat has a lot of useful skills. Despite all the hand-wringing by myself and others about trading away future draft picks, this team does have a bunch of exciting young talent for us to watch grow and develop. That gives me hope.

Peat had two great passes in this game. Really amazing court vision stuff. First one led to a bricked wide open three and the second one to a dunk. He showed very good body control and was relentless in attacking the basket. One of the guys on twitter said that he was pretty low motor when not involved in the play. It didn't stand out to me but then I’m not the sharpest when it comes to off ball stuff. His free throw motion has me concerned tho.

So I just say, I was surprised at Peat and his quick feet. He's a little too in love with the spin move and he's not the most vertical jumper but he's quicker and I thought, he's got a good horizontal burst, good ability to finish in the paint and he looks strong. Not a bad first impression.

I recorded it last night and just finished watching it. Agreed on all your comments about Maluach, Fleming and Peat. But I was actually impressed with Hoiberg. I don't know what his box score was but he made some impressive rebounds and was hustling his ass off. He reminded me a bit of Goodwin.
