This Kawhi scandal may go deeper than we thought. Now he is "investing" in some sketchy soccer team? Hmm. I wonder if any other players have weird side investment scams like this to funnel extra money to them. It would not surprise me. I wonder if a wider scandal will break out from this current investigation, affecting more players and/or teams. Could be a rough look for the league.

Separately, I am still waiting for the league to have its first really big betting scandal. I know we have had a handful of guys busted for taking dives to meet unders and such like that, but it has been marginal guys in random regular season games. I am still waiting to find out that some guys threw a playoff game or series because they took bribes.

The scandal I'm waiting for is: How the league itself has been directing referees to control the spreads, so that the gambling sites can make money and then funnel it back to the league. What the individual players do with prop bets and such are small peanuts compared to what the league is doing.

I think we underestimate just how good prime Harden was.

That's a pretty solid deal for the Mavericks, I like what they've got going on over there.

Most of the Mavs' moves post-Luka-trade (or post-Nico-firing) have been pretty solid. But they have a long way to go to get back to contender status after giving away a top-10 NBA player for peanuts. I feel bad for their fans. Basically losing a decade because of one stupid GM.

Agreed. Decent player but under the current CBA 17M is a lot for a JAG or close to it.

Naji, PJ, Flagg, and didn't they just draft another forward as well? It will be interesting to see what else Dallas does this summer. Maybe PJ is getting traded.
"Hey, Jane - get me off this crazy thing called love." - Charlie, but also Suns fans wishing we didn't have to watch more 4th quarter small ball but knowing we will tune in for the next game.

Really surprised that he can’t find a home in this league.

I think the Jazz are too low…they should be in the Portland/phoenix/GS zone
