2026 NBA Offseason
Re: 2026 NBA Offseason
They're really going to puss out on this, aren't they? They're scared of Ballmer and others dropping a legal hammer on them, so they're going to just let everyone off with a slap on the wrist.

Re: 2026 NBA Offseason
The NBA's snail's pace of an investigation made it pretty clear the punishment would be light. I've always assumed this stuff was happening to some degree with every team, but Ballmer/LAC just got caught up due to being sloppy and/or getting into business with slimeballs.
ESPN has been carrying water for Ballmer the whole time, this is just more of his propaganda to fight public opinion.

Not that we have any more assets, but if the Bucks ever wanted to move Rollins I’d be very very interested. But they probably move Herro and KPJ and keep Burries and Rollins as their long term core in the backcourt.

Dot net favorite Trendon Watford signs a minimum deal with the Pelicans.

Wow, Denver just gave Watson away. I guess they are really trying to get under that apron and save money. And/or maybe they got the sense that he's going to ask for a big payday in his next contract, more than they are willing to spend?
As for Crowder, hmm. Wonder what our user JAKE_ROWDER would think?

Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.
Re: 2026 NBA Offseason
Is this sarcasm that I'm missing? The tweet says that Watson is getting 88 Million, and the Nuggets are getting an un protected 2031 first in return.Mori Chu wrote: ↑Thu Aug 20, 2026 10:30 amWow, Denver just gave Watson away. So, yeah, Denver didn't want to pay him 22 million, and I think getting an unprotected '31 is great value back for a dude who played 54 games and averaged 14 points.

I don't get this one either. Jae hasn't been on our roster since we sent him out for KD. He's been with the Bucks, the Kings, and out of the league.

Re: 2026 NBA Offseason
Watson had a good run for 15 games. For the other 40 or so he was pretty average. I like his potential but currently it is also still just potential and honestly I’m not sure that he fits with that Cavs roster. I mean, nobody fits on that roster with those four other starters. I’d love to be in a position to be on the receiving end of some of these desperation moves but that’s probably not going to happen in the Ishbia tenure. Oh well.
Guess the Duren Kuminga and DeRozan storylines are the remaining interesting ones.
