That's what I was thinking after they won. Really happy for them.

Why is that? Just curious why you respect him more for picking LBJ than if he would have went with Iggy.

Yeah man, the playoffs started April 18th. That's 8 and 1/2 weeks ago. It took 2 months which is absurd.

It's cool to see that Gentry still has D'Antoni's back.

Know what wasn't cool? Reading all the, "Lazy narrative. Phoenix NEVER played defense. GS does." tweets.

Sure we played it, we just weren't very good at it.

We were not that bad at defense either.

And I really believe that if not for Horry or a lack of boxing out by J Rich we would have a title now.

I just think it's lazy logic to say the MVP has to come from the winning team. Yes, the move of Iggy to the starting line-up changed the way the games were played to a way that suited the Warriors. But for me, that's not enough to make him MVP (it is great credit to the coaching staff for having the balls to do that, however).

This is Lebron's game log for the finals: 44/8/6, 39/16/11, 40/12/8, 20/12/8, 40/14/11 and 32/18/9.
I mean his worst game was 20/12/8 - that's crazy. The only knock on him is his team didn't win the title, but that's surely more to do with his supporting cast (horrible) than his credentials as series MVP. I also rate Lowe's writing generally and was taking this as a chance to talk him up!

I think if it had gone to a seventh game, and/or if Lebron had a really dominant stat line in Game 6 in defeat, he would have gotten the award.

Yep, he petered out in game 6. He needed to take the game over for the Cavs but he passed out of favorable situations for himself.

A great series. It was real easy picking GS to pull for. All the Suns connections, they play total team ball and they are likeable guys. Makes thinking about the Suns even more painful.

I haven't been keeping track of the Suns lately. Any more Suns players arrested recently? Did we trade Len yet?
In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.

An interesting article today by Marc Stein about Lebron's childishness when dealing with David Blatt during the Finals. If true, it's really immature and bush-league of him to undermine his coach like this. Just fire Blatt and put Lue in and be done with it, if you want him as your coach so badly.

LeBron's a douche. Him calling himself the best player in the world (or whatever he said) was him just letting everyone know that he's the best even if his team loses and it's not his fault he won't win a title this year. He's always been a childish, selfish, spoiled superstar. When he wins, he's the king. When he loses, it's been because his team wasn't good enough.

It says something about the standards LeBron has set for himself that he put up 32-18-9 and it was a disappointing performance.

As for LeBron calling himself the best, so did Michael. So did Larry. There are a very select few in the history of the game who have earned the right to speak of themselves that way, and LeBron is one of them.
