Aaaaand dumb FT violation by the Pacers.

And clutch rebound by George and penetration by Hill.

That's going to be it 91-88, 13 left, unless Korver or Millsap make a three. Or Teague.

Nah, they are not giving you that Millsap. That's superstar call. I don't get why they'd want to go with a two pointer and a quick foul with around 8 secs. One way or another you are going to need a three. Better try it with as much time remaining as possible.

On the other hand George gets the call against their best perimeter defender.

Of course just to let George miss two free throws. See? Pre prime LeBron.

And it was Pero Antic who had to take a desperate three.

So Indiana got the job done. A good game despite what the score might suggest.

Now on to the delicatessen.

Fun watching the Hawks do their thing, but Indy just has so much more talent than they have. I think the talk that we might see the Hawks in the second round is way premature. They won one game. Pacers have looked pretty bad, but come on.

Wowwwwww, Indy is getting spanked by 30 at home here in Game 5. Can't believe it. Pathetic.

Wow. I just finished watching the Pens-Jackets gm and flipped over to see Hawks by 28.

Good God
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

Parity is never a bad thing, it might be bad for ratings, but I'm not paid to care about that crap.

Didn't see the game, but WTF happened to Indiana's centers?

Hibbert & Mahinmi combined: 28 minutes, 0-3 FGs, 0 FTs, 2 boards, 1 assist, 1 steal & 1 block.

And Scola? 2 points, 1 PF in 8 minutes.

Think Bird got snookered last July?

re indiana vs atlanta, fake parity is not good. but to be fair, the west playoffs is exciting (marred only by the sterling fiasco). the east sucks.

I couldn't disagree more. The only thing that has sucked in the East has been Heat/Bobcats. Washington/Chicago has been a good series, and Washington has marketability because of their backcourt. Toronto/Brooklyn has been a very good series, and it's huge for the NBA to have Toronto bursting at the seems with playoff excitement. And the Pacers collapse and the competitive nature of that series has been one of the most intriguing things in this year's playoffs.

Sorry, but this one of the best first rounds in recent history.

i should clarify. i'm enjoying the washington-chicago series. but it is likely that washington and atlanta will meet in the 2nd round. that's not good. I expect washington to advance all the way to the ECF.

we may see two elite teams bow out of the first round because of off court issues-- indiana and the clips.
