I don't believe I said that, no. I'd just like a little more color variation on the main court. The all orange gradations is ugly.Indy wrote:You want it to be more ostentatious?Superbone wrote:No.Indy wrote:So like Shel said, if you just replace the black with purple, are you good with it?Superbone wrote:All orange and black equals yuck.Indy wrote:I am not sure what the hate is of the current court.

That's what I was just about to say, I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed it looks like a court meant for Halloween.Shabazz wrote:It looks way too Halloween-y. Get some color up in that thing.
Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
Yes, it needs some purple. But it is also missing the most important thing ... the Sun! I need that sun basketball logo to be there, like the center part of the '90s logo. It's wrong without it.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
Even the orange is too dull. The design I'm fine with but the orange is flat and the black needs to be purple. I'd also look to swap the PHX logos and "SUNS" so that the logo is center court and "SUNS" is where the smaller logos are.
Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
I hate the way they keep trying to excise the color purple from our team. It has to be a Sarver thing. We never cut back the purple before he showed up.
My guess is that they think the Kings and Lakers also have purple, but nobody else really has orange, so that is more uniquely "our" color. But orange is also a shitty color to use as the primary color for your team; it's nice as an accent but not all over the court and uniforms.

you can really tell its the off-season at the moment
Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
According to this article, we were extremely close to getting Aldridge and this plane ride with Udoka might have been the difference in him signing with SA:

I still have a bitter taste in my mouth from that so I think I'll skip on reading it as it'll be salt in the wound.
Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
All that matters is that SA got him and we didn't. "Close" means nothing.

You don't have to read it but I thought it was interesting.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
At first sight he doesn't look like the best fit since Aldridge's usage rating is huge and the Spurs thrive on ball movement but I believe he is exactly what that team needs, somebody who can carry them through a regular season. Duncan-Parker-Manu is not a big three anymore and Kawhi is not enough to make up for it against the West, at least without a leap.
There is also the factor of not wanting to play center, but as long as they have Duncan and Diaw available I think he won't need to. Diaw is not Chandler-Len but as we know he gets it done in small ball setups. Anyway, can't wait to see how Pops attempts to make it work.
On the other hand, I believe David West is not going to be happy with the role available to him, especially in light of giving up $12M.
...
As for Phoenix, once again (like last offseason with Kevin Love) I believe making the playoffs could have been the difference in the eyes of the star player. After securing Tyson, Phoenix basically offers everything Aldridge could have desired except for proven/prior team success.

Well, sure there is that. But there is also the chance to play for (arguably) the best coach ever.Ring_Wanted wrote:At first sight he doesn't look like the best fit since Aldridge's usage rating is huge and the Spurs thrive on ball movement but I believe he is exactly what that team needs, somebody who can carry them through a regular season. Looks like they have him all boxed up to be shipped out!
Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
I was thinking the same thing. They just needed to add a shipping label to that box. I swear someone has that photoshopped image at the suns on their computer.
Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
We need somebody to photoshop that pic with Kieff in a trash can instead of a birthday box.
Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
And make that a dunce cap.
