Imagine a pick and pop/roll game with Dragic and Love. We'd have two defensive holes again, tho, but at least Love can rebound.

Not with Dragic being the face of the franchise, beloved around these parts.

What I would REALLY like to see, though, is Dragon-Love. Dragon drives and dishes to a Lovely 3-pointer. Bledsoe would also work well with this combination.
Love replaces that the day he steps foot in Phoenix.

I'm not sure Bledsoe works well with that combo, he doesn't seem very good in the PnR, always slow on the pass.
Love, Hurts.

I know this probably has no chance of happening, but I would love if the Suns forego investing a huge contract in Bledsoe, and focus on pairing Dragic with a role-playing, undersized, athletic 2-guard that can be a two-way player, handle the ball a little, and defend point guards. Basically an Avery Bradley, though not him specifically because he has ridiculous injury issues and he may command too large of a contract. I think there are a few guards in the draft that could fit that mold, like Gary Harris, Markel Brown, or Nick Johnson. I'm envisioning a guard that will keep the ball in Dragic's hands the majority of the same, and can thrive in catching and shooting, primarily from 3-point range.

Then acquire and/or develop a scoring/shooting 2-guard off the bench in the mold of a Jamal Crawford/Manu Ginobili/OKC James Harden/Leandro Barbosa. Maybe that's Gerald Green. Maybe that's Archie Goodwin. Maybe it's someone else.

And then draft/sign a scoring small forward. T.J. Warren, Doug McDermott, etc.

If we don't keep him, I hope we get some value out of him. But with Bledsoe being McD's first trade, it really seems like we're going to keep him. That and the front office gives every indication that that is the case although it could possibly be posturing.

About this replacement scenario, why would you suggest he be undersized? Just curious.

Markel Brown fits what INF would want to a tee. I assume he'd want a smaller G to defend the CP3s and Lawsons out there. Bigger guys generally just cant stick small guys.

OK, that makes some sense. IOW, you'd want to pair with Dragic a great shooter who could defend opposing PGs well.

And that's Markel Brown. He's a great catch and shoot guy from long distance, and he's also great on the fast break too.

I've thought about working out a sign and trade with Charlotte where the Suns get back Bismack Biyombo and Kemba Walker. I think Kemba Walker is better suited to be a super-sub than a starting point guard and could play well with Dragic.

A dream scenario of mine is if the Lakers draft Dante Exum or Noah Vonleh, that we offer to sign and trade to them Bledsoe and their 2015 pick for the rights to Exum or Vonleh, and Steve Nash's contract. That deal enables them to have money to chase another big free agent (Greg Monroe?) and we land a stud prospect. But that probably violates the mandate against bringing in 3 rookies, so that won't happen.

Weird, I was running that exact Hornets idea with my buddy yesterday. I think Kemba progressed nicely last year, I'm not sure the Hornets would give much more than Walker for Bledsoe.

If Bledsoe hadn't missed 30 plus games last year we probably would have had a legit shot at moving him but I think we'll over value and keep him.

I don't think the Hornets view Biyombo as an asset. He hasn't made any progress and he can't catch a pass to save his life according to their fans. Including him is more of a bonus for Charlotte because they get conserve some cap space.

That trade idea would allow Steve Nash to retire a Sun..? :D
