You know what? I don't want Butler for #4. He's a max player with four years left on his contract. Our window is not in the next four years. This is the wrong time to be splurging on a player like Butler, especially at the same position as Booker. This is the time to try to build through the draft.
Yeah, there's nobody available at #4 who doesn't have issues. We're taking a risk on a draft pick as opposed to a proven All-Star like Butler. But this is the right time to be taking those chances.

That's a big WORD for me.
Speaking of taking chances, why not trade Bled for, say, the #6, take Dunn at #4 and either Bender or Chriss at #6?
I wouldn't know what to do with #13 in that scenario, but whatevs.

Being the Knicks.
The Knicks have always chased "superstars" that might not have been a good idea even at the time -
Walt Bellamy
Bob McAdoo
Spencer Haywood
Larry Johnson
Amar'e Stoudemire
Carmelo Anthony
Derrick Rose

Dwight Howard would like to go to the Knicks, he would be Lopez's replacement. Will they resign Afflalo?
c - Howard (FA)
PF - Porzingis
SF- Anthony
G - Rose
G - Afflalo (FA)
If healthy that is a pretty impressive group. I expect it is Phil Jackson's last gasp at another championship.
Hornacek apparently is loving life. He got a raise and players that might give him a chance to win.
A little more exciting than coaching, your Phoenix Suns.
Except Rose has averaged 33 games a year over the last five and he's not the same player he used to be, and Howard has averaged 62 over the same period and he's not the same player he used to be either.

I totally understand where you are coming from. They also have Ball hog #1, Ball hog #2, responsible for getting the ball to Superman. This could be an epic failure but if somehow they can stay healthy and somehow play together Porzingis could flourish, if he ever sees the ball.
It will be fun to watch at the very least.
What was the reason to get rid of Monty again? Oh yeah, that guy we drafted rather than Doncic.

This is what happens in the current salary climate when you draft and stash at the end of the first round. Needs to be mid-first round or second round. Otherwise, it will likely be a 3 year wait.
How bout the Kings only getting 1 top 30 prospect (Wade Baldwin) to workout for them. AND THEY HAVE THE 8TH PICK!!
Wow...Apparently Agents were refusing to give them medicals too, they had to get them from 3rd parties....wow.
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

what's the harm in pursuing rose? he's an expiring contract. porzingas will take over lopez starting role at center.
Lopez by himself was arguably more valuable than Rose. He's a good player on a good contract. They also gave up their draft pick from last season, one of the few young players on their roster. Other than the Knicks the market for Rose was very shallow, they had leverage and gave up too much.

So we ended up getting a better deal for Keef, despite character issues, than the Nets got for Thad. Not bad.
That doesn't bode well for trading Knight tonight.
