These media questions are just weak. Sorry, but they are. These guys are handling it well.

I can't speak for any basketball skills, but I really like hearing Chriss. He handles himself really well.

I think all our draft picks are better at speaking to the media than Ryan. I don't think public speaking is his thing.

I'm not watching right now, but I thought he handled himself fine yesterday.

Ulis with the "I need a step stool" comment for the photo.

That probably came across as a negative, but I didn't mean it that way. He can do it, but it doesn't feel natural. All the kids seemed like it was second nature, especially Chriss.

I'm really excited about all 3, I think this could be a real fun year. I hope we focus on building up the young guys but see some success as well. I'd love a 2013-2014 like season where we surprise some people, but we don't need to make the playoffs to be successful next season. All 3 do seem great with the media. I didn't realize how young Chriss looks, he really does look like he's in high school.

What does everyone think about free agency? Grab a veteran 4 that is flexible minutes wise would be my suggestion. Play from 15-30 minutes depending on how the young guys are doing that night. I do like Mirza, although he could be very valuable to a contender. Clippers and Raptors come to mind.

Free agent power forwards include Al Horford, Dirk Nowitzki, Ryan Anderson, Marvin Williams, Jared Dudley, Mirza Teletovic, Terrence Jones, Jared Sullinger, David West, Jordan Hill, Brandon Bass, David Lee, Luis Scola, Amare Stoudemire, Josh Smith.

Williams, Dudley, Teletovic, West, and Bass all make some sense. I'd be open to bringing back Amare, that could be fun.

Wouldn't be all that surprised if Chriss is still growing.

The only reason I would be open to this is because I don't want someone like Ryan Anderson (who would make a lot of sense with our offense but zero sense with our roster) to take minutes form our 2 new PFs. Amare could come in and soak up 12-15 min some nights and some nights not even play and be totally fine with that.

Looks like no TJ for summer league. Booker might play some but probably not all of the games.

There is a good question in there about Ulis and Booker and the danger of him possibly not making it in the NBA.

Sounds good to me. Like Split says, it would be fun. Given his own experience as a fresh-out-of-high-school rookie PF for this franchise, it's easy to imagine him taking Bender and Chriss under his wing.

Ya that's what I'm thinking. There are a few nice, younger pieces that make sense for us, but guys like ryan anderson would just get in the way. Amare doesn't need to play many minutes anymore and I think he'd be open to coming. David West would be nice to, but I doubt he'd have any interest in coming.

I have no idea what to expect, because I don't believe they are done with the roster. But we just drafted Dirk jr and Amare jr. Let's get those guys as mentors. ;) More realistically, Scola and Novak are both older free agents. Maybe David Lee if we think he can teach the kids to rebound.

In a mentor role, I think Scola would be great, moreso than Amare or Lee, both of them never got to be at least average on defense, neither individual or team D. Scola was no stopper himself, but it was more about the age he arrived to the league, and his under average athleticism. He would also be helpful on teaching them about being a Pro player
