Suns News: The Offseason (2016)
Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2016)
Congrats to Williams and Ulis. Both honors are well deserved and proof that those guys belong in the NBA.

So far, so good. Knight actually showing optimism about the team in spite of the glut of guards.Suns guard Brandon Knight: "Something special is really happening in Phoenix"
e of the hottest, and still unresolved, topics around the Phoenix Suns offseason is what to do with Brandon Knight. While Eric Bledsoe commits to team leadership and Devin Booker emerges as a potential franchise cornerstone, incumbent shooting guard Brandon Knight faces a future bench role just as he himself is about to enter his prime.
Coming off successive off seasons filled with uncommitted players leaking unhappy thoughts about their situation with the franchise, Knight just expressed some serious optimism about his future role with the Phoenix Suns.
Knight is in Manila with former NBA player Dee Brown for NBA FIT Week. He and Brown are training elite Filipino athletes in an event sponsored by Gatorade.
"Something special is really happening in Phoenix," he said this weekend at the NBA Store in Manila, Phillipines. "And that's how we're gonna make it work, just by being brothers off the court, and on the court, we'll find a way to make it work."
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

That is encouraging. Knight will help himself alot, as well as the team if that attitude is real.Superbone wrote:http://www.brightsideofthesun.com/2016/ ... ng-phoenix

The whole article has a ton of more quotes. Definitely worth reading.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton
Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2016)
I'm glad so many guys are buying into the team concept and Watson's positive message. We'll see how Knight feels if his role changes and his minutes drop.

Doesn't mean much. McRae is a much older, more experienced player that has not been able to really crack an NBA roster. When you look at up and coming players, there are only a few.Cap wrote:After last night, I can't complain about Ulis being beaten out by Tyus Jones.ShelC wrote:That's utter bullshit! Tyler should've been 1st team, no question.
As for Jordan McRae, I haven't seen him play, but he lead the league in scoring at 24.3 per game. He also put up 5.0 reb, 2.0 ast, 1.3 stl, 0.9 blk.

I hope they all buy in and we can have a culture and atmosphere like the Warriors. If we're winning, it could be special.

These teams are to honor those who play best in the SL, not to predict who's going to be the best in the NBA.JCSunsfan wrote:Doesn't mean much. I like Watson, and hope that things turn around under him.

Thanks for posting this. It's easy to see why Leandro is a fan favorite. How about that new do and fancy glasses. He's come a long way. I'm sure the championship doesn't hurt his confidence.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2016)
Sorry I haven't posted much. I don't get here much in the off season I know. I try to keep up on the news but when I come and see 60 pages just on this thread it is a little intimidating. I got our draft picks and we picked up Dudley and Barbosa again. Anything else I missed? I see we did well in Summer League but, I never put a whole lot of stock in Ws or Ls in the summer.
