Nope. KAT and Dieng is more than sufficient at 4/5 right now. Dragic doesnt move the needle enough to even consider moving LaVine.Ring_Wanted wrote:Riley is no stupid, and Wade is enjoying the mess that is Chicago (NY still the same circus haha).Split T wrote:I'm pretty sure we don't get the heat pick till next year
If you are the Heat, do you try to win with Hassan, Dragic and stuff, or you sell those two and start over? I bet they could get a hefty package for Hassan.
Random thought: if you are Minni, do you accept LaVine (or Wiggins if you may of course) and something for Dragic and Whiteside?

Re: 2017 NBA Draft Prospect Discussion
I don't see KAT+Dieng enough. They need defense in the paint, and Hassan masks a number of flaws from KAT and Wiggins. The price is hefty as LaVine is a tremendous player and monster prospect, but they are also getting Dragic, who gives them a ton of options going forward and can replace some of LaVine's production. Could also have a positive impact on make a Rubio, making him a half-time starter and allowing you more space instantly.TheOriginalOriginal wrote:Nope. I'd even consider mixing in Winslow and Dunn to alleviate a logjam and adding defense for Thibs. In exchange, Miami gets a prospect with a higher ceiling.

if duke wins the title this season, luke kennard needs to declare early.
Re: 2017 NBA Draft Prospect Discussion
I think they are enough for now, Dragic and Whiteside arent getting them past the Warriors, Spurs, or Rockets at this point. Trading for a redundant postion while already having KAT seems like poor roster managment. Trading a 21 year old SG for a 30 a year old PG while already having a 22 year old PG you can grow with also seems like a bad idea and leaves a hole at SG.Ring_Wanted wrote:I don't see KAT+Dieng enough. this works, if you add a protected 2017 1st round pickTheOriginalOriginal wrote:I think they are enough for now, Dragic and Whiteside arent getting them past the Warriors, Spurs, or Rockets at this point. Lonzo Ball today:

Re: 2017 NBA Draft Prospect Discussion
His shot goes in but it sure is funky looking. He brings it from down low and shoots it from almost below eye-level. He will be the next Kevin Martin if he can shoot it well in the NBA. 53/43 splits ain't bad at all, and it's not like he is taking college 3's. He shoots it from Curry range all the time.Shabazz wrote:Lonzo Ball today:

Btw, he played 40 minutes. Does he play the entire game often?
They play Arizona next Saturday on CBS. That's going to be a good one. I really wish the NCAA would either clear Trier or tell him it isn't going to happen already. They are so ridiculous sometimes.
Go Suns!

Can't say he's going to be the next Kevin Martin. Yes, he has a very similar looking shooting form, but their games are very different and Lonzo offers much much more.carey wrote:His shot goes in but it sure is funky looking. Lol. Clearly. I just meant the guy in the league that has a funky motion but can still put it in the hoop.In2ition wrote:

Re: 2017 NBA Draft Prospect Discussion
What concerns me most about Ball his reportedly bad defense. I don't watch enough college ball to know. So I have a frame of reference - who's the better defender between Monk and Ball?

I've only watched a couple of their games. I think both actually project as at least decent defenders. But I am not certain.OE32 wrote:What concerns me most about Ball his reportedly bad defense. Re: 2017 NBA Draft Prospect Discussion
Fultz tonight: 38 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds, 3 blocks, 3 steals. 13-24 from the field.
Only 11-15 at the line though, so he's on my "do not draft" list.

Definitely. Clearly he cannot shoot.

I like how we have moved from drafting every Kentucky prospect to drafting every Washington prospect. #progress
