Game Day: Jazz (26-16) @ Suns (13-27), Mon 1/16/17

Post by Superbone »

Time: 7:00 pm AZ (6:00 pm PT/9:00 pm ET)
Place: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, AZ
TV: FSAZ, NBALP

Tough game tonight. The Jazz have the best defense in the league and they have beat us the last 6 contests. Let's see how Devin Booker fares after his back to back 39 point performances.

Go Suns!!!

This is like the 5th time we've played the Jazz this year including preseason. I'm tired of playing the Jazz.

I'd like to see them on the same team one day. Next year perhaps? :geek:

I know he's been our #1 target for ages but I'd put the odds of that happening at less than 5%.

A lot of Jazz fans aren't convinced he's a star. He's a great player, but more of a secondary star. Given that, there's no way Utah lets him go without a fight. He'll get the max offer from them.

He's probably the most underrated player in the league and the best player in the league to have not made an all star team yet.

He should make it this year, but I'm not sure if he will. I could see Klay Thompson taking his spot. As for best player not to make an all star team, I'd say that goes to Giannis, but he's a lock to make this years team.

Boston will be all over him, and we have lost the edge we might had with Hornacek gone.

Is Boston going to have cap space for a max offer? I really don't see him leaving Utah, the fans would not be happy after they finally make the playoffs after 5 or 6 years and then their best player walks. Not sure Hill, Hood, Hayward, Favors, Gobert is ever a true title contender, but that team could be a solid 3 or 4 seed for the next 5 or 6 years.

I don't think bringing Hayward in is the right move for us - and certainly, he wouldn't come here anyway. He wants to win. We're not close.

I'd like to see Alex put some bad memories behind him and play even with Gobert during his time. I'd like to see Booker have a higher 3FG% than Ingles. I'd like Bender and Ulis to have a positive impact. All of these thing tend to reinforce each other, so,

GO SUNS!

When did our record hit 26-16? Haha, just noticed the thread title. Anyways, I'm here in Jazz country and have talked to a lot of Jazz fans that don't believe Booker is really all that good. Would love to see him keep up his solid play of late and shut them up.

Hayward would never come here. He's worshiped like a God in Utah, and their team is much better than ours. He can sign a bigger contract with them. We have literally nothing to offer him that they don't.

he would have to accept less money, less coaching and likely less winning, so not much hope there

Celtics would probably be the only place he'd leave Utah for and I doubt he turns down the max offer the jazz are gonna give him.

https://twitter.com/CraigAZSports/status/821160416449396736 Warren and Len back in the starting line-up!

Len is only in because Chandler has the flu.
