Yes that might be prove to be a good mix, also add in Saric. Is it normal though to be having this sort of nugget days before the draft. I thought this stuff usually comes out on draft night "We are hearing...." lol

How is that?

Lakers kept their pick this year, Sixers are trading their own pick, slotted at #3 after winning the lottery.

Just makes so much sense for Philly. They were either gonna move up or down and with how much assets they have, moving up makes more sense. If the trade goes through, is there a better positioned young team than Philly?

Fultz/Simmons/Embiid
Lavine/Wiggins/Towns
Middleton/Antetekounmpo/Parker

Which trio would you rather have? The Philly trio has proven the least by far, but probably has the most potential.

Embiid and Simmons need to prove that they can stay on the court and stay healthy. I would much rather have Minny's roster.

I'd lean towards Minny over philly for health concerns too, but I'd actually take milwaukees roster over both. I think Giannis is the best player of the group and Jabari is more interesting of a player to me than Wiggins. Middleton to me is just a better player than lavine.

However, if philly stays healthy, embiid does what he did last year over a full season, and Simmons and Fultz are as good as I expect, they'd jump to the front of the pack.

Also, I heard a rumor that Fultz blew away the lakers in his workout today and they want to move up for him now too. This is going to be one interesting draft night.

That Lakers pick, unprotected next year, is supposedly the other piece going to BOS.

Hearing other rumors that this is just to acquire more pieces to get Butler. #3, lakers and nets unprotected 2018 picks for butler? That's a heck of a haul for Butler. Or maybe it's to get another asset in case Butler becomes available mid-season.

This Philly trade talk got me curious how Philly acquired the Kings unprotected 1st round pick. The Kings sent Nik stauskas, Jason Thompson, Carl Landry, pick swaps in 2016 and 2017, and the unprotected 2019 pick for the rights to two 2nd round Euro prospects who as far as I can tell haven't played a game in the NBA. The Kings did it to have the cap space to sign Rondo, bellinelli, and koufos. That's one of the worst trades I've seen. Did the Kings have their eyes on someone else with that cap space? What were they thinking? Makes me feel a little better about the Knight trade.

Just look at the last few trades the Kings have made. It makes me feel like we should have gotten more out of them in the draft day trade last year. After all, if you cannot totally rip-off the Kings in a trade, you are probably incompetent.

Fultz visit to Philly today is supposed to clear way toward finalizing deal. Latest from Woj

Discussions have centered on Sixers sending 2017 No. 3, 2018 Lakers pick, and possibly 2021 1st -- including complicated protections.

Wow. Big change up at the top of the draft! Anybody have a feel for how this might change things for us?

Yes, it means there's zero chance that Jackson is available whereas there was a good shot he was before because Philly could have taken Monk. Now that they are getting Fultz it's going to go chalk trough the 3rd pick and we'll select between Tatum & Isaac.
Go Suns!

I always felt it was going be 1. Fultz 2. Ball 3. Jackson before the proposed trade and I still think it goes down that way. It's going to be between Tatum, Isaac and Fox for us, which I'm okay with. Unless we pick someone out of left field, I think I'm going be stratified with whoever we pick.

Yep, I'll be happy with any of those three from all I've read, seen, and read on here. There are proponents for all of them.

I think out of those three (Tatum, Isaac, and Fox), I lean toward Tatum. Tatum seems like he could be an elite NBA scorer/shooter, and it takes the pressure off of Warren to completely own the SF minutes.

Fox to me just looks like a younger version of a Bledsoe/Westbrook type of PG, and I'm not so sure whether that kind of PG wins much in today's NBA. If you are extremely lucky you get a Kyrie, but I don't really want my PG being so ball-dominant. Would rather have a guy like Ulis at that spot and then find great swingmen to put next to him like Booker and (hopefully) Tatum.

I have almost zero interest in Isaac. To me we have way too many projects at the 4/5 already. I get the whole BPA argument, but we shouldn't be wasting 3 top-10 draft picks in 2 years all on power forwards. That's just bad asset management.

This I disagree with. We have been so devoid of this position for so long that I am enjoying the youth and potential here. I also don't see it as a big problem if these guys are flexible in their positions which I believe all of them to be. Having a lot of length and skill in your front court is a great problem to have. I also believe all of these guys bring something different to the table.

This is a decent article as to where things possibly stand at the moment, even mentioning Isaac who we have also discussed quite a bit
