2017 Suns NBA Draft (4th, 32nd, 54th)
Re: 2017 Suns NBA Draft (4th, 32nd, 54th)
I think we are all unanimous in agreeing Chriss + #4 is probably fair which leads me to believe that was never the ask. You don't go from Booker + #4 to Chriss + #4. They probably wanted another first rounder from us.
Go Suns!

Looks like we won't be getting Tatum, TOO.

McDonough is playing hardball and will get Porzingis without giving up #4, Chriss, or Booker.carey wrote:I think we are all unanimous in agreeing Chriss + #4 is probably fair which leads me to believe that was never the ask. Bender straight up! Both were #4 picks, Bender is younger

I'll be so happy if Tatum is the Celtics pick.carey wrote:https://twitter.com/jasonrmcintyre/status/877541621348290561 Looks like we won't be getting Tatum, TOO.

Yup, it's still there, at http://phxsuns.slack.com/ . If anybody needs an invite, ping me here and I'll do it!carey wrote:All the mocks have him in the 50's. I hope Gambo just misunderstood when his name was floated out there. Semi is mocked around 30 so that's ok. Bell and Swanigan could be there though Bell has risen to late 1st in most mocks. There's a tropical storm hitting New Orleans over the next couple days. I may not be around much. If our slack channel is still operative I would request that we all use that on draft night like we did last year.djy2j wrote:If Swanigan, Bell, or Jonah Bolden are on the board when we pick in the 2nd round and McDo DOESN'T pick one of them, it will tell you how little work he put into scouting and how incompetent he is. Davon Reed? Sign him as a FA but you better not waste a pick on him.
Is it still up Mori?
One thing I'll say is that while the Slack is great during the draft, I hope we'll still post here, too. It'd be sad to pull all the traffic off of this board and onto Slack in its place. If you Slack during the draft, do come here and share your thoughts as well! <3

It's a steal for NY. Bender is going to be a superstar and we will all regret the trade.Split T wrote:Bender straight up! Both were #4 picks, Bender is younger

If it's true that Chriss+#4 for Porzingis was on the table and it was PHX who didn't pull that trigger I'll be beyond mad. But I am betting on this being too stupid to be true.ShelC wrote:http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baske ... ts+Twitter
I would've tried to throw in Bender but would've given up Chriss and the 4th pick in a heartbeat. I'm actually mad we didn't pull the trigger.Phil Jackson and the Knicks targeted either Devin Booker or Marquese Chriss from the Suns in a potential deal for Kristaps Porzingis, according to a new report Wednesday morning.
According to the report from Yahoo! Sports, Jackson also wanted Phoenix's pick (No. 4 overall) in Thursday night's NBA draft as the Knicks boss continues to see what he could possibly get for the frustrated Porzingis.

Yeah, once Boston moved down, I figured this was their target. Hopefully we go Fox and move Bledsoe.carey wrote:https://twitter.com/jasonrmcintyre/status/877541621348290561 Looks like we won't be getting Tatum, TOO.

The twin towers. And then if you add Len, you get "The White Wall".In2ition wrote:Yeah, I don't get this when you would still have Bender and reports are that they are going to go after Paul Millsap. I could see that you would want to pair Porzingis and Chriss together, but Bender and Porzingis would be a great pairing if Bender can get stronger and improve his shooting from the floor and the line.ShelC wrote:http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baske ... ts+Twitter

Slack is a chat/IM app for teams and groups. Very popular with "young" tech companies and school groups. It is easy to use, has great apps, and is very extensible. You can post gifs and award eachother internet tacos very easily!Superbone wrote:What is it?Indy wrote:Another vote here for the slack channel.
