We could call the combo 'Olenyk'!

Also, wow, what's with Sacramento signing Zach Randolph? I don't get how he fits in on that team. Then they sign George Hill to get in the way of DeAaron Fox. Why would you draft a blue chipper rookie PG with a top-5 pick, but then immediately sign a mediocre veteran PG to put in front of him and steal most of his minutes?

Leadership. Apparently thats a thing people pay for. ZBo could toughen up the Kings front line, and Hill is better than mediocre. He was fantastic last year. They are both short term deal that wont really impede the progress of the kids, I like it for them.

McD and Sarver are running the Kings?

I like it. ZBo still has a little left in the tank, Hill is a solid vet who's won and can help the lockerroom. Plus he can play off the ball so they'll have time for Fox.

What exactly is the goal with those two vet signings for Sac? To get 9th in the West?

Interesting about Hayward. When almost every other player is going West, he goes East. Smart move IMO. He will get to be in the ECF every year for the next 5 if they stay healthy, and he'll probably get to a Finals within the next 2-3 years. He wouldn't have been able to do that in Utah. Plus, frankly, the Boston fans will love having a white star to cheer for. His stardom and legacy will be much stronger after having played for Boston.

I still don't think they even crack the top 11. So they'll still lose and get a decent pick. Plenty of minutes to go around as well. So they won't bury their youngsters. Hill and Randolph give them some vets to provide guidance.

Yea good move and understandable, just sucks for Jazz fans. That's like the worst case scenario of drafting a guy, developing him, he and the team growing into a winner and then he leaves in his prime. Celts have pulled the QO for Olynyk so he's unrestricted. They have to renounce and waive a bunch of other guys and trade a guy like Rozier or Crowder or Smart.

For the Kings, those guys bring some leadership, maybe some stability and even if they win 45 games and are a 9 seed, they'd be winning. They need a culture change there.

I wonder if they just end up signing and trading Hayward for Crowder

Was wondering the same thing.

Also Otto Porter signed a 4 years 106mil offer sheet with the Nets. Wizards can match. I think they have to, right?

Wall been waiting to see how the offseason plays out before signing his extension so one would have to assume they will

Did you expect him to look bad? I expected Tatum to be very good in summer league. The question is how good will Jackson look? If he starts flinging up three pointers from everywhere, he will look bad. If he plays within himself offensively, and is an animal defensively, we are just fine.

I hope that Jackson plays great and better than Tatum. That being said, Tatum looked like a sf version of Booker with a variety to his offensive game and was good on the defensive end. I can understand the sigh, I liked Tatum too.

Seeing as I was driving the Tatum train and we didnt get him, I was kinda hoping he'd look not great, but he looked as I thought he would. Like a guy who was never used to his full potential at Duke. I compared him to Booker a few times because he has such a polished pro offensive game. Oh well, I hope Jackson balls out and I forget all about Tatum.
Love, Hurts.

Agreed. Tatum really stood out. The Cs got a player. Hoping Jackson fills up the stat sheet for us.

https://twitter.com/wojespn/status/882443976904757248 So for the pleasure of not paying him over $21M/season, the Nuggets got a 2nd round pick.
