They have to receive something. Might be one of those top 55 protected 2nd rounders that Denver doesn't ever actually get.

Did you expect him to look bad? I expected Tatum to be very good in summer league. The question is how good will Jackson look? If he starts flinging up three pointers from everywhere, he will look bad. If he plays within himself offensively, and is an animal defensively, we are just fine.
Seeing as I was driving the Tatum train and we didnt get him, I was kinda hoping he'd look not great, but he looked as I thought he would. Like a guy who was never used to his full potential at Duke. I compared him to Booker a few times because he has such a polished pro offensive game. Oh well, I hope Jackson balls out and I forget all about Tatum.
I would hope he would stand out after being the third pick in a deep draft.

And the pleasure of giving Millsap $30M/season.

That Millsap deal isn't bad actually. He won't move the needle for the Nugs, but the 3rd year is a TO. I might've been ok with that.

It's not like we passed on Tatum to draft Jackson, so at least we can ease up on the angst there.

(We may have influenced the process a little with the Jackson workout shenanigans, though)

The Jazz losing Hayward would be like us losing Booker after his next contract. Really sucks for Jazz fans.

Agreed. His main skill is iso scoring, so of course he looks good in SL. I still think Jackson will be a better payer, but Tatum does have that shot to be a perennial allstar in the east if he can score like this in the NBA.

Let's just hope Booker keeps this mindset:
"I love it in Phoenix and I want to be one of those guys that gets drafted by one team and stays there the whole time," Booker said. "You know, they turn around the franchise, and they get love for that in that city like they're the mayor...People still wear Steve Nash jerseys here. That's definitely something I want to be."

Great quote. Thanks for that.

We need Booker to be the guy texting others to come play in Phoenix, not the guy who's getting texts from others telling him to join them.

Random thought: I'm really sad that Zach Randolph left Memphis. He really embraced that town and was a cornerstone of the grit-n-grind era. He had a strong bond with Gasol, Conley, Allen, and the other players. I wish he could have played out his career there and retired. He won't make the Kings a great team, so I don't think it will be as fun to watch him there.

Sarver should be thinking about what job Booker will have with the Suns 30 years from now. Coach? GM?

Why does anybody think that a person who went to less than one year of college would be a good General Manager of a professional sports franchise?

I don't think assembling a great basketball team is a university education, by any stretch of the imagination. If you mean understanding the salary cap and nuance, they have guys for that.

Why do you assume that in 30 years, Booker will still not have finished his degree? Besides, business leadership is one area where a degree might not help that much.

Jason Tatum looked really good again tonight. He just looks like an NBA player already. He stands out, so polished.

Donovan Mitchell is also impressive. Super explosive guard. A lot of teams will be regretting passing on him.

Agreed on both. It's why I had Tatum above Jackson and Isaac all the way. That doesn't mean JJ would be good, but I was on the Tatum or Fox if we moved Bledsoe bandwagon.

OKC looks like they sure want to lock up that 4 seed in the West.
