You guys? Looks like one guy to me. I'd happily take Brogdon.

I'd rather have Len. At least Len defends.
I also have loved Len's motor the last few games. It may not be a popular opinion, but if he puts it together this season (consistent double-doubles, effort, and an effective but limited offensive game), I would be more than happy to "overpay" for him.

As long as he doesn't hire Rich Paul. I've had enough of overpaying Paul clients.

Phew. Otherwise there’s going to be some VERY upset people on this forum in the next few weeks when we get Mudiay and a first, which is the best return I’m expecting. I’d be shocked to get a young player that is the caliber of Brogdon. Honestly I would rather have Brogdon than Bledsoe period, no matter the circumstance.

Credit where he is due, he has looked good to start the year. But we’ve seen this over a stretch of 5-6 games before.

You may not like how McD has alienated players (Dragic, Morris, Bled) but let’s not act like he hasn’t gotten surprisingly good returns on his trades of these players after everyone had said their trade values had been ruined. I have 100% confidence that McD will maximize the trade value. I don’t have confidence that he’ll then use the assets acquired to form a cohesive unit.
McD's major strength also seems to be signing guys to value contracts (there's 3 players in here and you can probably throw in Warren):

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/syndicat ... n.amp.html
And all 3 of them became toxic. Can he sign somebody to a value contract we don't end up needing to dump?

There's the clue ;)

Brogdon is already the player I hope Ntilikina will grow into. Maybe the frenchman has more upside, but he also has a very long way to get there.

Their '18 pick has a lot of pull to me. I can warm to having only Brogdon, but I think we can work out something where we end up getting both assets. The should be interested in dumping Henson or Teletovic.

Count me in.

But then we need to do something with all those assets. Can't add 6 players to this team as it stands.

Brogdon, '18 1stR, Henson, Teletovic for Bledsoe, Chandler, DJJr, Suns '18 2ndR.

They add Bledsoe and cut one year of Henson, which also gives them room for Chandler (who was Kidd's teammate in NYK and in the '08 olympics), although if someone wants to take Chandler in exchange for some other piece MIL would be interested in, go for it.

Could also see MIL trying to get Dudley instead, but I'd hate to lose Duds as this new era really needs guys who know how to play the right way.

DJJr and the second are there to offset the bittersweet taste that giving up two nice assets could leave in MIL's mouth. They obviously can have Troy Daniels if they want.

Still, I'd be surprised if something happened before Dec 15th but on the other hand, the longer this saga goes, the more inclined CLE could be to do something with the BRY pick, and you know LeBron wants Bledsoe by his side.

As for the excess of bodies/assets, I wouldn't care at this moment. That's a nice problem to have before you enter the '18 draft.

Assuming we get to enjoy some apocalyptic fireworks from a Cavs meltdown, any chance we can capitalize with something of true benefit if they try to snag Bledsoe in the interim?

Yes. The 2018 Brooklyn draft pick the Cavs received in the Kyrie trade.

It would be pretty awkward when IT returns.

The Cavs would be incredibly stupid to give up that pick. Once LeBron leaves they'll be down to two assets, Kevin Love and that Brooklyn pick. Exchanging that pick for Bledsoe would be a significant value loss for them in their process of rebuilding.

Wait a minute, who am I kidding? They'll somehow get the first pick again in the 2019 draft anyway...

Edit: I forgot about Isaiah Thomas. Make that 3 assets after LeBron leaves.

We would have to give up a pick or a young player. Bledsoe and DJJr and the Miami 18 pick for the Nets pick and cap filler.

We take back IT as cap filler and then trade him when he is healthy again around trade deadline time. We could send him back to Boston for Marcus Smart or something. Oh yeah. We could send IT back to Boston for the Laker pick!

That way. In this draft we would have the Suns pick, Nets pick, Laker pick.

Not serious guys.

I guarantee you that IT isn't going back to Boston any time soon and more likely never.

Mudiay has put together a couple good games in a row. Feels like we probably end up with him in a Bledsoe trade, so his improving play is encouraging.

Murray is looking good for Denver.
