Heeeey, but we will be in the conversation, this summer we are going to be big on free agency, as every major free agent consider us a likely destination, LeBron, LaMarcus, you name it!!!

We like chasing guys with a capitalized third letter. After failing with LeBron and LaMarcus, our next target is DeMar DeRozan.

Sounds like the kind of guy McD would chase too. High volume shooter at a position of strength, lets get em.

Not really a position of strength, because we'd make him a PG.

Did anyone watch the end of that Zags/Cuse game? mind numbing play call by Few at the end for Gonzaga not getting the ball to Sabonis on either of the last 2 possession tries.
Ugh. Boehiem annoys me.

Really bummed that Gonzaga is out. Not sure who to root for now.

Buddy Hield is gonna be a hell of a player.

Ya, I wouldn't hesitate to take him with the third pick. I don't care that we have a bunch of guards. Ingram and Simmons are the only guys I'd take over him.

It's pretty interesting that his shot chart is completely rim and threes.

Interesting that 2 of the final 4 teams probably shouldn't even be in the tournament because of NCAA violations.

They bring in the money. They won't be left out.

So I recently read on the realgm forums a comparison of Brice Johnson to the Matrix. And I gotta say, I was an idiot for not having this guy - in the spotlight of the NCAA - on my radar. He's got not only length and athleticism, but quick-twitch in spades. I loved, loved the Matrix. And because of our desperate need for a guy like that on our roster, not only would I consider Brice at 12, but he might be my preferred selection at that spot. Looks to me like he can play not only the 4, but the 3 if you have a stretch-4 on the court. Possibly the ideal player between Len and Warren, making up for Warren's lack of rebounding and defense, helping Len from the weak side and providing an athletic alternative to Len's grounded game. You could even draft another big such as Ellenson or Sabonis (both of whom can play the 5 in addition the 4) and rotate those guys with Len at the 4 and 5 spots.
Thoughts on Brice? It looks like INF is in deep scout mode so we won't hear from him until he has all the answers.
Because of our guard situation, all the guys on my radar (other than Simmons, Ingram and maybe Bender) should be available at the back-half of the lottery. My interest in Bender has diminished as my interest in more polished players has grown. It's amounted to the conclusion that if we don't get one of Simmons or Ingram, we should trade down - of that I'm convinced, unless McD is confident that Bender is the real deal.

Hum. Another senior, like Hield. NBAdraft.net links him to Taj Gibson and at this moment is projected #13. Draftexpress has him #33. The measurables (just 6'11 wingspan) are not as good as Marion or Gibson's. No shot or specific offensive skills. Looks like a defender-rebounder and garbage type.
Shouldn't we look at prospects with more upside? Skal, Korkmaz, Yabusele?

I like Brice Johnson and would definitely consider him with the Wizards pick.

I am going to have to take a look at Johnson. A 6-9 Shawn Marion would be a nice replacement for PJ. This draft does have some really intriguing players.

The draft hype cycle happens every year. Around February nobody cares about the draft or everyone says it's a bad draft, worse than expected, only a few good players, etc. By draft day everybody is ecstatic and it's the best draft in 15 years.

I've liked him since his sophomore season. Good prospect.
