More importantly, how many of those teams got the first pick in the following draft?

Watson is probably just letting them all know he is going to take them out to dinner. Where he will ask them to go on to youtube and watch some videos on offense and defense before the next game.
He's probably planning an emergency yoga session.

Booker looked gimpy.
Chandler looks done.
Suns look like butt.

Bledsoe looks like he doesn't give a shit.
Watson even went back to the Chandler-Len frontcourt. Results were as expected.

Last year featured the Suns' first 70-pt game, by Booker.
This year, can we expect Phoenix's first 70-pt loss margin?

Checked the boxscore from a concert tonight.
A) Looks like I didn't miss much of a game.
B) Oh my God... We are horrible. Really really bad. Like no hope, historically terrible.

I know you're just joking. But I moved to Seattle in the early 2000s, adopted the team as my second team, watched them be good with Ray Allen and the gang, and then see them end up getting Kevin Durant, only to watch them leave after his rookie year. And I feel compelled to say: Having a completely garbage NBA team in your city is still INFINITELY better than losing your team.

Fire earl. Absolutely. I expected us to be in the top 5 this year but nobody has shown any improvement and the margins of defeat have been absolutely unacceptable. If this is going to be a season for development we have to get rid of the coaching staff. Otherwise we’re looking at having to fire sale. The damage done to the careers of our young players is irreparable. I’m

He is absolutely horrible at basketball

Exactly. The w/l record doesn’t matter, but the way you play does.

regardless, in over 25 years of Suns watching, this feels like the low point
This is the worst the Suns have ever been.

This may be the worst anyone has ever been. Remember that crappy Mavs team that started Derek Harper, Walter Bond, Doug Smith, Terry Davis, and Sean Rooks? They were on pace to set a record for futility, but Jim Jackson ended his holdout in March and helped them get to 11-71 so they were only the second-worst team ever. When they won their 10th game, ensuring they would only be the second-worst team ever, Jackson jumped up on the scorers table and celebrated like they'd just won the championship. This team may be worse than that one.
The next season they drafted Jamal Mashburn and won 13 games. Then they drafted Jason Kidd and won 36. Then 26, 24, 20, and 19.

The '90s Nuggets were awful too. And the Warriors were brutal for a very long time (Simmons wrote a good piece on that GSW era).

Is/was Brandon Knight really as bad as he has played for us.
Our whole roster is looking like Brandon Knight clones.
Wasn't the great Earl Watson the one and only coach Knight has played for while on the Suns?
While Booker may be scoring more I liked his game more when Hornacek was his coach. He shot a good percentage and shared the ball. I believe the same can be said about Bledsoe.
I have asked this one simple question for two years. What player or players has Watson made better? With little or no response.
It is nice to see the rest of the Phoenix Suns community finally seeing what I have seen from the beginning.

The (previous) worst home opener loss last year was when reality settled on Watson for me - you don't go into a season with optimism, see that and think everything's okay - then Brandon Knight happened .. I don't think we're the only two to have realised that early (although quite how so many have been content with him is beyond me, so i feel your pain JWB).

Here's a question - Would having Brandon Knight available make this team better or worse?

The thing that bums me out is that we seem to be making poor choices in terms of talent evaluation. The bad coaching on this team is fixable (fire Watson) but losing good players and signing/keeping bad ones is harder to fix. A specific example is that we have really messed up on Alex Len. He looks like he's developed quite nicely and is becoming a great young center. But now he's essentially gone after this year as a UFA. We could have signed him, but we decided to play hardball, and now he'll leave. That's a huge loss since we have such a shitty big-man rotation right now. Losing our best center and arguably one of our best 2-3 players, who we invested years in developing and living through his developmental years, for nothing is a huge blunder.
