Good game. Disappointed defense became non-existent during the 3rd and 4th quarters (for both teams really).

I didn't realize until a couple minutes in that Leander was the play by play guy tonight. What happened?

Again...Jackson needs to be starting!

Please tell me that Coach is seeing the playmaking of Ulis and will get him more minutes. I think he should start. Mike James has been a nice find, but he looks way more like a backup PG to me. Ulis can legitimately lead a team.

True. My hope is that they were just waiting for ulis to play himself back into shape

For me it's more that warren would provide a great offensive focal point off the bench. In the 3rd qtr of the jazz game he played quite a bit with the bench unit and I thought it worked well. Our bench currently needs a bit more O and the starters a bit more D.
Tj and ulis need to keep working on their 3s a bit more. Still hesitant

Thoughts on the game:
- need a TJ and Jj swap
- probably should have called a timeout later in the game when we really needed a bucket but couldn't buy one.
- len looking better but still lacks touch around the rim even in great position. Lacks a finesse move and for such a tall guy his hooks get blocked a lot. Should just try to dunk it each time so maybe a better chance of getting contact.
- bender really needs to work on his triple threat. Currently just looking to hand off and the defense can just read it. Just make a few moves or take a quick shot earlier in the game to at least keep the D on their toes. I think even the commentary team were highlighting this.
- blazers seemed to get calls whenever they went into the lane including several very soft ones. Suns especially in the the first half got very few calls even with heavy contact at times. Boo

The three-point shooting was fine, except for Daniels' 0-4, and of course he's going to take those shots, that's what he's there for.

Kevin had the night off. At least that is what they said at the open. I didn't mind Kate at the desk with Chambers, however. That should stay. ;)

Bench sucked, particularly on 3 point shooting. If you can't hit a 3, don't take those shots! That's the real reason for the loss.

A PG with a little more 'zing' won't hurt, but strengthening our 3 pt shooting and our bench in particular seems to be where we need the most help right now.

Good effort for the most part...
Sounds like a job for Reed and Williams.

TJ isn't a go-to scorer. He's a sneaky, in the flow of the game type scorer. That's ok, but we do need another go-to guy.

And I would like to see Ulis and Warren leading the second unit. Ulis can find Warren in the flow of the game and they can simplify things for each other.

It was a seven point loss...look again. Troy as the bench player w/the most attempts and going 0-4 is a big swing factor...look at the results...we shot net 7% worse, really mostly Troy's results. Sure, rebounding could have been better too, lol. I just saw the 0/4, and that stands out for me...well, that versus the fact that Pat Connaughton nailed 3 of his 4.

To me, a flip of Ulis vs. James would have probably bought us a bucket, and a couple buckets vs. 0/4 for Troy makes this a win...shrug...my take.

He's a career .405 shooter from three, so you react to an 0-4 game with "If you can't hit a 3, don't take those shots"?

All shooters from time to time go through a bit of a slump. I'm not to worried about Daniels, he'll get on track.

This team needs a dominate big man to pull the defense away from the shooters and open the floor. Ayton is super high on my list right now for this coming draft. Also, hopefully the Suns can get another high pick, as this draft is going to be loaded with bigs and a fantastic pg with a ton of potential and physical attributes is going to drop in someone's lap later in the 1st.

He isn't even in a slump, he just had one bad game. Nobody's seriously worried about it, VT is just being VT.

"Dominate" is not an adjective, dammit! That drives me crazy.

I hate his play calling usually but, he has really toned down the Al McCoy impersonation with his made up sayings and is just calling the game and that goes over with me a lot better.

Instead of a D he gets a C+.

The Suns get a B+ for their effort. Portland idn’t An easy place to win in and if they made ANY shots in the last three minutes they might have pulled the game out.

Cap...sigh...known you way too long to take offense...shrug. I know that's you being you, :D

Still think we could use a little more bench 'umph,' I didn't focus on him specifically...he just contributed to my perception that our bench productivity could use some shoring up...perhaps not such a bad outcome in a Bledsoe trade for example.
