Thoughts on Booker?

Bookers stroke is sweet and he is incredibly streaky, but analytics show him to be incredibly inefficient and overrated. We already knew this.

Bender is now becoming a bigger talking point on here and I know he idolized Kukoc but the way he is so solid defensively with his length and just makes smart plays on O, Kirilenko crossed my mind this morning. Does anybody see that potential in him or I'm on an island (no pun intended) with that take

Bender has shown very good fundamentals and positioning, but he lacks the instincts that made AK47 a great player.

I think his defensive instincts are fine. He's 4 inches taller than AK, but doesn't have the bounce.

On his podcast with Dan Patrick, Bill Simmons said he knows for a fact that Phoenix was willing to part with Bledsoe and the #4 pick to get Kyrie, but (it seems like he was saying) Kyrie's camp pushed to make the Celtics deal happen after that situation presented itself.

Apparently that deal was in place before the draft. Then Cleveland or Indy(#4 would go to Indy, PG to Cleveland) said no(I can't remember who nixed it). That's why Cleveland was so upset we wouldn't include Jackson in the trade later. We must not have anticipated Jackson being available.

Why would you be happy with getting shut down when you're perfectly healthy? Of course it was the beginning of the end.

I think the real problem was that we followed that up by openly dangling him in trade rumors all summer. He didn't feel wanted by the franchise. While I don't like him much as a player, I can see why it pissed him off. He really acted like the face of the franchise, was active in the community, etc. Did pretty much everything asked of him.
