That haircut is very amusing, as long as he's not on my team. Now that he's on my team, it's time for a responsible haircut.

He didn’t cut his hair.
That’s a pre-draft video with him and TJ

Actually, it doesn't matter right now. We're only competing for ping pong balls anyway. But if he's still with us when we're trying to be good... its haircut time.

I LOLed at work, then texted this to the old ladies in my family. They are hoops fans, bird watchers, and avid fashion critics. They went crazy.
Glad you and yours enjoyed it!

Too bad Shaq isn't still here. He would hold him down while his teammates lop it off.

Someone needs to get Payton and Jackson drunk. Like...really drunk.
This guy breaks down Payton's early career with the Magic. Nothing incredibly insightful, but worth a watch if you need some news.

I think if we continue to run the Bender/Chriss starting combo that we won't have much to worry about in terms of losses.
I would expect both to play a lot better with a real PG running the offense.
Payton is starting for a team that has won 17 game in the East. He's not going to magically turn our mess into a sports movie comeback feel good story where the skinny shy white kid and the troubled black kid hug it out and find new purpose and meaning in being a team against all odds. If he was that good, the Magic would be better and he would have cost more than a 2nd rounder.
Nobody is saying he will make us drastically better. But in a close game against the Mavs, Kings, Grizz, Magic, etc, the difference between Payton and Ulis could swing the game in our favor. Look how close the standings are. If he leads to even 2-3 more wins and we go from worst to 4th worst, it could drastically change the course of our franchise.
You guys worried yet?

He definitely made a positive impact tonight and could be the difference against some of the lesser teams. Suns looked a lot better with Payton and when Booker comes back, we might be in for a little surprise.

Very conflicted. Pleasantly surprised and hope he keeps impressing, but also hope we keep losing

Luckily we have a very difficult schedule. We won't win too many games.

Right now we are picking #3. Dallas won against the Lakers.
Loved his first game. Maybe he will do well with the change of scenery. I really think this team was aching for an even somewhat competent starting PG. I don't mind if he gets us 1-2 more wins; I don't think he will destroy our draft position. More likely is that he turns what would have been 30-40-point losses into close games that we still lose, which would be an improvement. I also hope that he improves the culture of ball movement on this team so that the young guys aren't just trying to get theirs. I really think the importance of having a good PG for a young team cannot be overstated.
