He played better tonight. He showed better energy sooner than last game. He made some great passes. I was impressed with his free throw touch. When people contested his rebounds he didn’t really ever come up with them. If he would have put a body on someone he would have had more than 12 boards. All concerns regarding ayton are valid. For someone who can sleep walk into a double double I'm going to need to see more from him. I'm willing to give him time since he's been out for most the season but settling for jumpers and getting out hustled on the boards is going to bother me.

I only hate Ayton when he talks to reporters. He has zero clue on what's going on out there. Other than that no reason to hate his game. He will be our average guy with a potential that will be never realized for long long time and I made peace with it.

I don't know how realistic that is. Knicks are playing their best basketball of the season. I'd be very happy to be up 30-22 after one.

I had the correct point differential after one quarter. Just the wrong team. I was hoping we were going to be front runners for the entire night but that wasn't to be. Still, it was more like I expected. New York has been playing well. I'm just glad we stayed within striking distance in the first half. Then we did what we're supposed to do in the 2nd half. We just wore them down and won the game running away. Not by a lot but by enough.
