Ya it is. Watching the replay and it was a little dangerous for Ghianis. His hand was bent backwards from the dunk and was very close to hitting the rim. A few more inches the wrong way and he would have had that hand/ fingers slammed against the rim, which easily could have resulted in a hand injury.Awesomeness avatar Laz!

In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.

Giannis tweaked his ankle and Connaughton broke his hand. Plenty of excuses for the national media to still believe Milwaukee is coming out of the East even if they have a string of losses coming up.

His shooting would not have been affected by it......Nodack wrote: ↑Fri Feb 11, 2022 5:23 pmYa it is. Watching the replay and it was a little dangerous for Ghianis. Is there a lot of history and precedent for bigs recovering fully from back surgery in their 30s in less than a yr? I can't recall if there is.

I think it is not common. but i haven't researched his specific injury/surgery to know.

Oh, got to mention that I was really proud of Ayton on that first half late pass from Crowder for the dunk that he was looking for it. Early Ayton would have just been looking for the rebound.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

The Ayton dunk over Yanis looked so similar to the same dunk attempt in the finals they was blocked. Ayton has grown as a player.

I think Paul and the Suns learned that that oop has got to be higher to avoid a Giannis block.dragickingdom wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 12:34 pmThe Ayton dunk over Yanis looked so similar to the same dunk attempt in the finals they was blocked. Ayton has grown as a player.

I think this one was closer. CP3 was closer as the lobber and Ayton was closer to the hoop when he caught it. Giannis had more time to block the shot in the finals.

Also I kinda hate that they scheduled this game on trade deadline day. Listened to all my nba pods and the game wasn’t mentioned. All anyone wanted to talk about was the big deadline deals and some all star draft talk. I don’t blame them as those are huge stories, but I blame the league for putting what should be one of the biggest regular season games of the year on the 1 day it’d be overlooked by transactions.

The headline would have focused on Bucks being at end of road trip either way

I think it is the opposite. The dunk in the finals was too high (thrown by Book) and Ayton only got his finger tips on it. (you could argue he didn't jump high enough and Book had to throw it higher to avoid Giannis...)Superbone wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 12:43 pmI think Paul and the Suns learned that that oop has got to be higher to avoid a Giannis block.dragickingdom wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 12:34 pmThe Ayton dunk over Yanis looked so similar to the same dunk attempt in the finals they was blocked. This one thrown by Paul was right on the money and it allowed DA to really grab it before slamming it down. If it were just in his fingertips like the Finals I think Giannis blocks it again. DA and Chris made sure that didn't happen.

You made me go watch it again. No, not the opposite in any way. The pass was not great, agreed. It was too far from the basket but low as well. Paul's pass was right on the money and high above the basket. Much easier to catch while also meeting him at the top of his jump.Indy wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 1:29 pmI think it is the opposite. I went back to watch it, too. I was wrong about it being too high. you are right there--it was too low. DA didn't grab it, and he easily could have. He only had 2 fingers on it in his right hand.
But I should say that it is an amazing play by Giannis, and he deserves all the credit here.

DA probably jumped too late, if he jumps a half second earlier he catches it closer to the rim and finishes easily…but I agree here, this was 95% Giannis just making an incredible play. I’d guess against literally any other defender in the nba, this is a dunk. Who else even has a chance at a play like this? Booker was out past the ft line, Giannis had to recognize the pass, turn, cover 10-15 feet, jump, locate the ball, have the length to get to it and get his hand on it cleanly to knock it out.
Takes a combination of play recognition, length, athleticism, coordination, and timing that nobody else has in the nba. How many guys in history have it?

Games 4 and 5 were rough…Game 5 was the worst for me. That’s the game that won the Bucks the series. Like we shot 55/68/91 as a team for a TS of .648 and lost. We only had 8 turnovers and were not killed on the glass(11 oreb to 8). Milwaukee(especially their role guys) just had the games of their lives all at the same time.
They shot 58/50/53 but took 10 more 3s. Brook, Connaughton, Tucker, and Portis went a combined 8/13 from 3. That was the only game in the series won by a road team. Jrue was also great in this game after mostly struggling in the previous 4.
