Impressed with your Poeltl results…this was the toughest one yet for me…took me 6 attempts I believe.
Ah, I do not know all 500 players in the NBA. I go through my first 3 guesses by memory, then use the rosters to help me guess. I couldn't tell you how many 22 year old guards there are in the eastern conference with a jersey number below 5, much less name them.
So don't compare our results! I actually use this game to learn more of the players, not to test my knowledge of them.

Yesterday’s Wordle pissed me off. Could literally have been 7 different words. You shouldn’t have to guess the right one by chance.
I got lucky and picked the right word first. As long as you’re not playing on hard mode, I’ve used my guesses to just eliminate as many letters as I can before…so if the word can be match, latch, patch, watch, batch, hatch, catch, etc. Just pick a word that has as many of those first letter consonants as you can think of…like blimp…that eliminates 4 of the 7 with 1 guess. Of course if you’re down to your last guess or 2, it still is just a guessing game.

But yesterday I had to adjust my strategy to ensure I got it before my tries ran out. Used a word that had three of the possible missing letters:
