As much as I shit on Ayton for being a huge misuse of cap space (among other things), Chris Paul continues to be the biggest problem with this team.

I think the KD ship has sailed and won’t be back in port until the offseason. And Ayton still has to say yes. I don’t know.specialsauce wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 9:29 pmAll I have to say is: Deandre Ayton is trade eligible in 8 days.
Only KD can save us
By no means is tonight his fault. But it’s a perfect example of how he’s not a max player. Booker is off and our other max player has no impact on our game. Can’t have that.
He’s hurt. He’s out for todays game.Drewsprocket wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 9:38 pmWhat did DWjr do to Monty’s daughter that he can’t get run in this game?
JeremyG wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 9:46 pmI prefer to think it's the injury. The alternative is too depressing. He's had one steal and zero blocks in the last three games. He's not been the same player.Wally_West wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 9:38 pmLmao come on, man. He great in the game. This literally the 3rd game since that injury. Everyone looks like dog shit right now. It’s not cuz of injury.JeremyG wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 9:30 pmHe was able to knock down threes but not do much else.Wally_West wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 9:18 pmHe was fantastic in the Spurs game. The game after he got injured…
This is most likely the case. They're not going to make a major reset move with Ayton or Bridges midseason, and no one is giving up anything elite for Paul and draft picks.Wally_West wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 9:52 pmI think the KD ship has sailed and won’t be back in port until the offseason. I think we’re just gonna kick the can down the road here until next offseason for the major changes.
When that day comes tho I don’t want hear no bullshit about how we can’t trade bridges or Ayton or whoever else. We’re not a freaking championship team. Everyone not named Booker is on the table to get their ass shipped out.
It was a complete team non-effort tonight.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 9:53 pmAnd the deficit continued to balloon when he re-entered.
I mean we signed jock landale, that was an aggressive signing right? The Bobster wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 9:56 pmThe Suns lose in the Finals and they pretty much stand pat (their big addition? Landry Shamet).
The Celtics lose in the Finals and they add Malcolm Brogdon and Danilo Gallinari (who is out injured).
What do I take from this? The Suns are complacent with what they have - sometimes you have to be aggressive adding talent to keep your team on top. They should have gotten rid of Crowder over the summer and gotten a big forward who can defend and they should have moved some picks and players to get more scoring, especially off the bench.

It’s time to go all in. We have 4 picks, 30 million in contracts(Shamet, Crowder, Dario) and Bridges, cam and even Ayton if he says yes, to trade. Time to make a big move. The Bobster wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 9:56 pmThe Suns lose in the Finals and they pretty much stand pat (their big addition? Landry Shamet).

Hence my statement on Ayton not making a difference. The Bobster wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 9:58 pmIt was a complete team non-effort tonight.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 9:53 pmAnd the deficit continued to balloon when he re-entered.
Cam Johnson is too injury prone for my liking.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 10:04 pmCam Johnson can also stay as long as he's not being being paid double his market value like some other guys on the roster.
He averaged 61 games played before this season. I don't consider that injury prone.iLLmatic wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 10:05 pmCam Johnson is too injury prone for my liking.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 10:04 pmCam Johnson can also stay as long as he's not being being paid double his market value like some other guys on the roster.
I suppose so. You're comfortable with the torn meniscus and all?Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 10:07 pmHe averaged 61 games played before this season.
