There's some talk out there that the Clippers are merely resting Kawhi for game 4 since it's almost a back-to-back. Meaning, he could be available for the rest of the series.

If so, it makes tonight's game even more important to win.

Makes sense. Tank this game. Rest Kawhi, have him fresh for Saturday. Im sure they want to try to take this to 7. Maybe they get PG back by game 6 or 7. We need to put this one away by the 4th.

They can’t risk losing both. Gonna throw this one to have a better shot at game 4. Would ensure they get to go back home for game 6. Maybe PG can play by then.

If we lose to the Clips without Kawhi, we deserve to (and probably will) lose the series. Absolute must-win.

Kawhi is such an enigma. On one hand, he stays out of the limelight and never says anything, it's all basketball. On the other hand, he just randomly decides to not actually play basketball on his own terms, and he's so damn good that any team would still love to have him.

If that’s the case it’s the dumbest thing I have ever heard. You don’t rest players in the playoffs.

I didn't mean in the sense that he's not injured, just that they think he'll be able to play the remainder of the series if he rests tonight.

Yeah, I think the tanking/load management talk is silly. It's the playoffs. No team is cool with just giving a game away, especially a home game.
