2023 General Offseason/PostSeason League News
Re: 2023 General Offseason/PostSeason League News
Alright, here’s a crazy idea that will never happen, but who says no…
Milwaukee recieves: Donovan Mitchell, Isaac Okoro, Cedí Osman, Ricky Rubio, and Dean Wade
Cleveland recieves: Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton
Mitchell/Giannis become the foundation in Milwaukee and now they have someone who’s capable of running the offense down the stretch. Although he’s had his own issues with that too.
Cleveland goes Garland/Jrue/Middleton/Mobley/Allen
They lose a lot of depth, but that feels like the best starting 5 in basketball if healthy. Maybe missing a top tier guy.
The more I think about it I don’t think it’s enough for Milwaukee. Trying to fill the 2/3 spot would be tough. I do think they need to go find a better shot creator. Middleton is falling off and Jrue is better as a 3rd guy. Giannis for all his incredible skills, is limited as a shot creator. His one move is to just attack the rim relentlessly. Teams can scheme that away(well some, we couldn’t).

Neither team does that and in the end it won’t matter once the nets trade Simmons and all our picks to get Dame.

Pretty sure you'd have to trade all of our picks if you're getting ANY team to take that albatross Simmons. He's a HUGE negative in that trade and the picks would be needed to entice anyone to take on that contract and headcase. Now if trading all of our picks and Cam J or Dinwiddie... Then they might be able to sniff at Dame.MightyMoog wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2023 11:31 amNeither team does that and in the end it won’t matter once the nets trade Simmons and all our picks to get Dame.

I hope that happens. Simmons, Thomas, 5 1sts… maybe Sharpe?MightyMoog wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2023 11:31 amNeither team does that and in the end it won’t matter once the nets trade Simmons and all our picks to get Dame.
Dame/Mikal/CamJ/DFS/Claxton is your starting 5.
Dinwiddie, Harris, Royce off the bench. Need some size still, but that’s what free agency is for. I think that’s a really fun team. Probably not a real contender, but a 2nd round or ECF team with the right matchup.
Portland try’s to then sign and trade Grant somewhere. Move Nurkic. Build around Simons/Sharpe and their top 5 pick.
Get to see if Simmons will play better outside of any team expectations. If so, you might have another asset.

Didn’t know where to put this, but suns to be broadcast over the air in AZ, with a streaming option as well. I’m out of state, so it’s still league pass for me, but this seems very cool for in state people.

Looks like we now know what happened with the Raptors demise. They inherited the virus the suns had during the McD era.

Aside from being a lousy coach, he just seems like such a prima donna.
Re: 2023 General Offseason/PostSeason League News
Good God, if the Raptors hire Earl Watson they'll deserve the terrible record they'll get.

Now, now he’s not all bad. He did help us get rid of Sarver.
Re: 2023 General Offseason/PostSeason League News
Maybe they could get Lindsay Hunter as an assistant too.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Doesn't sound like Ishbia is planning on trading Ayton, naming him second, even ahead of KD."We're going to have more fans than ever before. We're going to have more people who will have eyeballs on Devin Booker and Deandre [Ayton] and Kevin Durant, Chris [Paul] and cheer the team on."
"I'm a Deandre Ayton guy."--Al McCoy, September 21, 2022.

He didn't mention Monty, so obviously Ayton will be player-coach next season.
