Ya that’s a good deal. Now they should trade one of Rudy or KAT so Reid can play.
Curious, would you trade DA for Rudy straight up?
I’m not a Rudy fan…I don’t know if I would do that. The pro’s are that you know Rudy will play defense and he’s probably more likely to be ok just rolling hard to the rim at this point in his career.

Cons are that he’s older and I think will start falling off a bit and he’s got zero offensive game outside of lobs at the rim. Also his teammates don’t seem to like him very much. He also costs even more than Ayton.

I think I’d ultimately say no. I’d need additional incentive to pull the trigger.
It also doesn't solve the initial problem, too much money for a C and still no depth.

Yep just pushing the same problem to an older version(more defense, less offense) of DA

I'd rather have DA than Gobert. Gobert is getting older and is unlikely to ever get any better. DA at least you can hold out hope that maybe he'll improve over the next 4-5 years. And Gobert is a pompous ass; Ayton is also self-satisfied but in more of a chill way. I think Gobert seems like he'd be impossible to tolerate or get along with. Pass.

I really would have no interest in acquiring Gobert under any circumstances, at least not under his current contract. So yeah, DA over Gobert any day of the week. I get that there metrics that "prove" his value, but it's crazy to me that the league values him so much more than Ayton.

Add Svi MykhailiuK to the vet minimum targets list.

I love Cam Johnson, but we wouldn't have been able to keep him at this price.

Meant to post this about Cam...not sure what an "aggressive" offer was. I think there was speculation it was in the $70-$80mil range? I think if we'd have offered $90 he would've taken it?

Yup. Was really good for Charlotte at the end of last season. I wouldn't be surprised if they kept him.

Jevon Carter would actually be pretty good here if he wanted to come back

Everyone's favorite Stanimal.

What happened to Parker, was it just injuries?

Jabari Parker is a strange case. High draft pick, was going to be part of the future for the Bucks, averaged as much as 20 ppg in 2017. But then he suffered major injuries (e.g. ACL) and fell off and has been a single-digit scorer since 2020. I would like him more if he were a better 3-point shooter, but these are the kinds of random guys who may be filling out our roster this year.

Did Stanley play under Vogel? I think he’s interesting

Jabari was a pretty good scorer but never a great defender or rebounder for his position. Injuries really set him back. Stanley's been a journeyman who most Suns fans have lusted after at one point or another. No offensive game, probably not as good a defender as most fans think but nice size and athleticism at the 3/4.

He shot 45% on limited attempts last year for San Antonio. He did play under Vogel in LA by the way.

Seems likely that he's been selected to participate in the workout for that reason. Vogel is going to want to fill out the roster with players he trusts.

Stanley is pretty good at the minimum I think.

I have no idea about Jabari…was honestly surprised to see he played in actual nba games in 2021-22. He didn’t play at all last season and I’d guess he doesn’t make it back to the league. But maybe he spent the whole year getting right physically and prepared to give it another go. These are the types of guys we will probably need to hit on to have real depth.

Chasson Randle is coming in for a workout, journeyman PG. He and Johnson seem to be Bill Duffy/BDA guys.
