Good win, the offense was flowing and the shots were falling. We fell into that lull in the 3rd quarter where it almost fell apart but we weathered that storm. We need to find ways to get good shots when the 3s aren't falling. Our defense isn't good enough to consistently get stops so the combo of that plus missed 3s is a recipe for disaster. While I thought we'd come out a step slow, it looked like the Clips were a bit flat. And while Zubac got whatever he wanted inside, we actually matched up well otherwise because the Clips are just as small with the rest of their lineup and wings.

I thought the no-center lineup was a bad call on Bud's part tho, should've at least at KD out there. Also thought Oso might've worked in that smaller lineup because he can switch pretty well on the perimeter and still would've been the biggest player on the floor.

Great games by Book and Allen. Book is running the PnR well and generally making the right passes. Allen's really playing lately, looks like it's going in everytime he shoots it. Plumlee is a 3rd stringer but was the best matchup for Zubac and was +22. Richards unfortunately couldn't hang defensively.

As much crap as Beal is taking, I didn't think he played that poorly. The offense wasn't there but he moved the ball and held up defensively. We expect so much because he's Beal and has that contract, but we need Book and KD being the offensive focal points and everyone else playing their role. We don't need another 30pt scorer messing up the flow of the offense.

Late game execution still needs work. Again, attacking with reliable offense instead of playing not to lose, draining clock and taking tough/bad shots with the shotclock running down. Big win tho, especially for the standings.

Beal did not have a good game. He was clearly dogging it out there. I didn't see him in a full sprint all game. Last man down the court most of the time

It wouldn’t terribly surprise me if some of this recent stuff was weighing on him a bit. He’s been taken out of the starting lineup, his name has largely been involved in trade discussions, and his family was heckled at the Wizards game. He’s been extremely professional about the whole thing, but it certainly must be bothering him a little.

Oh I’m sure it is…I got nothing but respect for how Beal is handling it…and that fan was a jerk and I’m glad they kicked him out. Not sure why fans think it’s okay to make things personal.

They didn't. They called him a bum ass bitch. Nothing personal, just an accurate reflection of his play honestly.

I encourage you to go back and focus on him in transition, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

If he's going to refuse to adapt to playing a complementary role to the main two guys, it's better if we just send him home. He's not hustling off ball. He has got to be an off ball disruptive if he's going to play in that role. Otherwise he's just a live body on offense with no transition threat, and a liability defensively.

I already deleted this game but I will pay attention in the next.

Beal definitely lags in transition but it's also been a team wide issue this season from what I've seen.

You don’t think calling someone a bitch is personal?

Also Beal had 20/4/3 and 0 turnovers in that game. 4/6 from 3. It was not warranted by his play.

No, there's literally nothing personal about it.

You're a bum ass bitch from St. Louis!!! Your son a SpongeBob watching fool!!! That's personal detail.

Calling someone a bitch is pretty templated shit talking. Didn't cross any lines.

I don't yell at players at games cause it's weird and pretty low class, but that fan didn't cross a line that isn't crossed nightly.

There also doesn't appear to be any communication between Beal and KD at all. They'll pass to each other on the court but there's no acknowledgement of an assist/score or any chat during breaks in the game. It seems like he's being marginalised.

Well he was acquired allegedly at Durant's behest. That doesn't make any sense to me.

Agreed - it just looks to me as though there's been a falling out, perhaps because Durant has been pushing for the FO to bring Butler in.
