Spoiler: show/hide
Not great for our play-in chances
Saw that…. However he’s a glass cannon and will be hurt within a week.
Within a week?! I'm not sure he'll make it to halftime.

Grayson looks to be back tomorrow…so we’ll see…No Dame for Portland should help

Kings and Mavs both play b2b tomorrow…Mavs get the Knicks and Kings get the Thunder. Both should lose and then we can move into 9th with a win over Boston(who might be without Tatum as he got hurt tonight).

That looked like a high ankle sprain; he may be lucky if he's ok for the playoffs

Oof…you never wish injury on someone, but suns gotta take advantage. We got 2 games against Boston coming up. Beat them twice.

Well for a moment it looked like we might sneak in…I had our odds at 60%…but now I’d drop that to like 25%. We’ve lost 3 straight and Dallas is starting to get healthy and win games. Sacramento is the team to watch now.

We’ve got 7 left and I think we need 4 of them to get in. That doesn’t look good as we probably just lost KD for a couple games and the schedule still looks rough over the next 5. We need to win 2 out of:

@Bucks
@Celtics
@Knicks
Warriors
Thunder

And then finish the season with 2 wins over the Spurs and Kings. Also need to hope the Kings win 3 games max over their next 7…which is likely I’d say as they have a tough schedule. They do get the Wizards and Hornets on the road, but also have the Pacers, Cavs, and pistons on the road before finishing with Denver, LAC, and us at home.

I think you are wrong even though it feels like it right now. I think we'll win two more. Probably the last two. But not enough to make the play-in, thankfully. Put this team out of its misery and start remaking it for next season into a watchable product.

Might win the Bucks game, but the rest the backs up will smoke the Suns.

I appreciate these breakdowns. But our vibes are all-time bad and we just lost our 1/1A best player for multiple games. We probably aren't winning any of those 5 games in your list, and you can't count on us to win against "lesser" teams like the Spurs and Kings, either. My guess is we only win 1-2 games tops the rest of the year, if that.

I don't gamble, but I would put a decent wad of money on the Suns not making the play-in at this point.

I don’t think our vibes are all-time bad. They were worse a few weeks ago. It’s certainly possible we don’t win any of the next 5, but no one thought we’d beat Cleveland and Milwaukee either.

I think going 2-4 over the next 6 is probably fair…then we gotta hope Sacramento goes 2-5 and then we have a final matchup for the last play-in spot.

Mavs and Kings both lost tonight…Mavs was kinda unexpected as they were playing tbt tanking Nets…This was definitely a must lose game for the Kings though(if you want the suns in the play-in).

Ya I think catching Dallas is out of the question now. Especially since AD is back

We are currently 1 game behind the Kings, and 2.5 games behind the Mavs. We ain't catching Dallas. Sacramento, eh, maybe, but our remaining schedule is tougher than theirs, so I wouldn't bet on it.

I don’t know that it is. Sacramento has one very winnable game left(Charlotte on Friday) and will likely be underdogs the rest of the way until they play us.

They go

@Charlotte
@Cleveland
@Detroit(2nd night of b2b)
Denver
LAC
Phoenix

They just lost to the wizards. I think they go 1-4 over their next 5 before facing us. 2-3 maybe…but they could also go 0-5.

If they go 1-4, all we need to do is go 1-4 as well over the next 5 and then our game against them will be for the 10th seed.

We go:

@Boston
@NYK
Golden State
OKC(2nd night of b2b)
Spurs
@Kings

We also probably go 1-4. I do think it’s important to note that of our 4 tough games, only 1 of those teams will actually be fighting for seeding. Boston is locked into the 2 seed, Knicks are locked into the 3 seed, and OKC is locked into the 1 seed. Doesn’t mean they will back off, but it does make the chances higher that they do. GS is the one team we play who is fighting for a top 6 spot(slight chance to get to top 4).

The Kings opponents have more to play for. The Cavs are locked into the 1 seed, but Detroit is fighting for 5th(small chance at 4th), Denver is fighting for 3rd(could still end up in play-in technically), and Clippers are trying to get into the top 6(currently tied for 6th).

Last thing I’ll mention is the Kings keep their pick if it’s top 12. If it ends up 13, they give it to Atlanta. Right now it’s 13th. If they drop out of the play in, it will be 12(assuming whoever loses in the play-in doesn’t jump ahead of them in the lottery). They may actually just pull the plug and try and keep their pick.
