If Green can score in bunches, does that make Booker expendable? That will definitely jump start the retooling of this team, especially if we can grab a bunch of picks. Just a thought.
I feel like many folks have been making excuses for Booker. He's averaging a career high in turnovers and is shooting terribly for an extended stretch. If they are triple teaming him and he can't handle it, give it up sooner. Other teams superstar players that are double and triple teamed figure it out. I'm hoping he comes back from his groin injury and figures this shit out because it isn't just a game or two and we've been winning despite him making us worse when he's out there instead of winning because of him.JJ Slim wrote: ↑Tue Dec 02, 2025 8:44 amTeams have been double and triple teaming Booker and I think that is how they plan to play the Suns. It is possible that when Booker went out that they didn't have much of a game plan after that. But if Booker is out for a while they will start focusing on the others.AmareIsGod wrote: ↑Tue Dec 02, 2025 8:30 amAmazing how much better we played without Booker. How sustainable that is, we will surely see as I expect him to miss a couple of weeks at least. Brooks has blown my mind and CG is the real deal.
Yea, it''ll never happen but would be smart in possibly retooling their cap situation, adding some draft capital and youth which we've proven to be able to work with. Especially since we have CG, Green and ALLEN... Books expendable.specialsauce wrote: ↑Tue Dec 02, 2025 12:16 pmTHIS IS THE WAYiLLmatic wrote: ↑Tue Dec 02, 2025 9:04 amI know most on here aren’t interested in trading Booker, but it will be interesting to see if/when Green returns. CG/Green can be our starting backcourt of the future. We can trade Booker to replenish our assets and get another young rising player in return (Eason or Jabari, Sheppard, and picks) and continue to remain conpeitive.
They'll never do it, but the answer is right there.
Brooks has turned this team around and this is the 2nd or 3rd time in this thread that people have suggested trading him. He's by far the biggest reason our culture has changed and we aren't Charmin soft anymore. He's exactly what a lot of teams need? He's what we needed. Seriously, trade Brooks? Is it because folks didn't like when he was on the other team and still can't wash the taste out of their mouths? We're playing great. No need to trade anyone at the moment.Wally_West wrote: ↑Tue Dec 02, 2025 2:32 pmYou trade brooks not Booker. Brooks is older and expiring contract next season, get what you can imo. Hes been great but he’s exactly what a lot of teams need. I’m okay with just keeping him tho lol, kinda just want to see how this team finishes the year.
Exactly! If it ain't broke don't try to fix it!AmareIsGod wrote: ↑Tue Dec 02, 2025 2:40 pmBrooks has turned this team around and this is the 2nd or 3rd time in this thread that people have suggested trading him. I'm struggling to watch it, honestly. I mean, the shot-making is amazing, but I can't remember ever watching this level of ballhoggery before. As soon as he dribbles once inside the 3-point line, you just know it's going up, no matter how terrible the shot, no matter how open his teammates are. The whole thing is a "no, no, no, yes!" adventure. Tip your cap to the dude, for now, but I hope he's not too rigid to change it up a bit when the shot isn't falling.
