Fuck the Lakers and fuck the pick - I'm busy praying for Randle.....
I'm not saying don't feel bad for him, but it's not like his life is in jeopardy or that he'll lose his leg. It shouldn't even hurt his career. Blake Griffin's injury was 10X worse and he's been able to come back at an All-Star/Superstar level. Randle should be ok.

a) ed davis, or
b) let's trade for channing frye. but which players will orlando take back from the suns?

I sure hope so.

Orlando needs better PG play and much better decision making overall (hate Aaron Gordon in this area). Besides Payton (not a fan, but young and decent tools) they are using Ridnour and even Ben Gordon (JJ Barea territory here, stupid to have on any team, let alone one so young). When Dipo gets back he will handle the ball, but the Magic could use a cerebral playmaker. Ennis would be a nice piece for them.

Davis has 12 & 9 himself but he's not shooting well. 5-12.
Asik, Davis and Anderson seemed to clear up everything around the basket, especially off Reke's missed penetrations. And Anderson broke the Magic in the end of the third quarter with three 3pt bombs when the game was basically tied. If I were the Pels I'd try to move one of Reke-Gordon for bench pieces.

I do think Horford is better than anything we have now. I just don't know if he moves the needle enough to divest ourselves of assets. I do think it would take Len, the Lakers pick and maybe a future pick as well as Ennis or Green. Everyone is aware that he's only played roughly 100 games over the last 3 seasons right?
The pick goes to top 3 protected in '16. I don't really have a problem waiting a year since we have a lot of young guys that can't even get on the court already. That's not to say it wouldn't be great to add another top 10 pick to the roster next year. I just think that to us, the value right now, might be higher if we use it to acquire a veteran. Of course that's hard to say without knowing where the pick itself is going to actual land. I guess that is where all the risk is.
I'm not sure if I've said it here or not, but I'm not that interested in trading Len. I don't know that he's going to be special but I think he's going to be better than Plumlee & a starting C in the league.

I still don't get why everybody is so excited about the Mavs. Yes, they have some interesting new pieces. But their PGs stink now, and Chandler Parsons does not look like a game-changer to me. I know, it's only one game. We'll see.

I'm not so sure. Looks like this injury is similar in severity to Blakes, maybe worse.

What is a tibial fracture?
Tibia fractures are normally caused by trauma. Whether a sporting injury, a fall at home or a fall at work, the tibia can have a variety of complex injuries that often involve the knee and ankle as well.
Fractures include a break to the tibia (the load bearing bone) and often the fibula (the thinner lateral bone of the lower leg). Fractures can be proximal (upper), mid or distal (lower).
Full recovery takes at least a year and sometimes two.
The long term aim of treatment is to reduce the effects of potential arthritis of the ankle or knee due to the injury.

What. The. Fuck.
See INF, that's why I was praying - Sam Bowie damn near busted his right leg in two just on a spin-move. Poor kid could miss up to 2 years after just 1 game.

I can't see two years. Paul George is already shooting around and he broke the tibia and fibia. Randle may be different because of the size difference I suppose but George is aiming to be back for the playoffs if Indiana can make it.

Depends on what they mean by full recovery, the bone would be healed and able to play on in about 6 months. He'd have a lot of training to do to get the leg back to its original strength pre fracture do to the inability to use it, but 2 years seems very excessive. Kevin ware played in a basketball game less than 8 months after his compound tib-fib fracture which was worse than randles

I think it depends on where the bone is fractured. That is much more important than whether it is compound or whether the fibia is fractured too. It is said to be an injury that still causes significant pain long after the initial healing process (a year).

True, there are a lot of details we don't know, I was making the assumption he had a simple transverse fracture. If it was a spiral fracture or involved the ankle it could be more serious

This is what I'm thinking. We'll see what the doctors/Lakers say after his surgery this morning.

Watching Bucks v. Hornets right now. I really like the new Hornets uniforms. I'm glad they brought back that weird teal color. The Bucks uniforms on the other hand look like bad college unis.
