Arsenal needs a striker or 2, supposedly in on Hulk as well.

That's a nice budget. If managed wisely you can get three real difference makers.

Try to buy Pogba and Mandzukic. If you strike fast for Pogba I think Juventus lets him go for €55M. Guardiola supposedly doesn't want that striker with Lewan on board and maybe could be had at a non obscene price.

Or you could try to steal Lukaku from Chelsea and see if he develops, but I doubt Mou sells to Arsenal if the guy can come back to bite his ass.

Mandzukic would be huge especially if it keeps him from Chelsea. They dont need anymore help

Pogba isn't interested in moving according to his agent, so I think that would be a surprise to me. I'd love to see him with Özil (If he ever regains form) Wilshere and Ramsey though, really free them up.

Serge Aurier is supposedly on the way, but obviously nothing is done until its announced. Liverpool is now in on him as well.

Angel Di Maria was linked to Arsenal, but I think he's stays after winning CL.

Ancelotti WANTS Di Maria. Only if the player forced Real's hand he'd be sold, but it would take a crazy amount for both the player and the team, although RM has not been historically a club that sells too high, with some exceptions like Seedorf, Robinho or Ozil (who seemed like a steal at the time, right?).

But the player has said that he wants to stay, and there is a new contract waiting for him, so I think it is not too probable that he moves.

For Barsa he's never been the idol he was at Arsenal. His transfer was expensive and overall has not lived up to it. Couple that with the fact that the team has failed to meet expectations the last two years, and that they need money if they want to rebuild, so he is the designed casualty, especially since the new coach Luis Enrique didn't mind losing him.

That's the root of many issues with european soccer, indeed.

By the way, I've always felt that the l-tax is a bad rule. Supposedly it aims towards parity and keeping super rich teams from just buying a title, right? I buy it for the salary cap, but not for the L-tax.

It is a measure that harms precisely those who should be favored by the restriction. If you are the Knicks or the Nets you can easily afford paying the tax. Teams like the Suns or the Thunder have had to make poor decisions because of the L-tax penalty. I firmly believe they should get rid of it.

Sigh.. Ozil, what an underwhelming year, they really need to step up and get a world class striker to go with him, Giroud is ok, but definitely need a better finisher.

Sadly with the way things are going Wegner looks happy to chase prospects instead.

Yeah, Wenger looks pretty affected by the prospect chasing disease, but at some point not just the fans, but the owners will want to win, right? Beyond talent they'll need experience and above all to spend big money.

Ozil, well, he is a maestro but is too inconsistent. Ideally he'd be totally freed from defensive duties and used behind a killer and two powerful wings, but that essentially means building a team around him.
