I like Rubio okay, but I hear he's dropping out of the race anyway.

I also agree that Kidd had less limitations as a scorer than Rubio, my point was more about how a team can do well despite the PG not being a relevant scoring threat, which Kidd wasn't even if by choice save for that famous month when Skiles asked him to take over so the team could make the playoffs.
Everybody here would benefit greatly from a handler who is unselfish and with elite, maybe unmatched, passing skills. The fastbreak with Warren makes me salivate, and the big men would probably be better feeded.
Anyway, to me one thing is clear. Bledsoe and Knight need to be shopped hard this offseason. At least one of them need to go.

Lots of numbers here, but it is clear who I would choose.

Of course. Knight is the goner as you can easily find small combo guards to score off the bench. Playoff teams like Detroit, Chicago or Houston could use him, but we'll have to wait for the offseason.

I was surprised how much better at everything Rubio was than either of them. Sure, Bleds has a higher PER/TS%, but getting to the line as much as he does, the better defense, better passing/assisting, better rebounding, etc. It is a no brainer for me.

Looking at that stat table of Indy's just boils my blood. Knight is just such hot garbage. Ugh. I hate him.

I never bought into the hype, but Rubio is no joke of a player. Everybody knows he can't score but he does so many things, and his IQ is terrific. Particularly interesting for our current youth movement is the mix of Ast% and low usage rate.

Yep. Imaging what he could do to get TJ such easy baskets, and Len, and not make Booker have to create everything on his own.

And the TWolves are shopping him, not that we can get him for nothing, but I would think a fair deal is available now that he is no longer a building piece por Minnesota.
I think a simple swap for either Knight or Bledsoe would be a Hit by McD, but I'm not sure how much value we should send Minny's way to make it fair. But one of our 14M PG's it's a must in the package, or we will be robbed trying to trade them later given the evident logjam.

I would prefer it be Beldsoe, actually. Knight drives me crazy, and Bledsoe works hard on the defensive end, but I would prefer it be Bledsoe. If I assume we will be stuck with one of them, I think our team works better with Rubio/Booker/TJ than with Rubio/Bleds/Booker as our 1/2/3. You just know that they would try to play both Rubio and Bleds at the same time, which pushes Booker to the 3. I think it is easier to tell Knight he is our microwave off the bench.

Also, is anyone else in favor of bringing Mirza back on a reasonable deal? I think, as someone else put it, a more valuable Gerald Green.

I guess I don't understand. If Rubio can't get the Wolves to win any games with way more talented young players then what exactly is he going to do for us?

Not dominate the ball and take awful shots.

That shot selection, man. Teletovic has won us games but I only tolerate the chucking because this is a lost season anyway. I'd rather keep Leuer.

If we are picking one, then yes, no question.

I think I get your point, it would be the better fit to go this route. Problem is Bledsoe would be coming off surgery, I don't think we can trade him during the offseason and receive fair value.
Besides, I don't want to keep any of our two 14mPG, so I would prefer to atach a low value asset to Knight and get Rubio, as Bledsoe still could net us something better as the center of the right package once probed healthy (please Lebron, take your buddy with you). But a healthy Bledsoe should serve as fair value for a simple swap with Rubio, so if the Twolves are up to gamble on this, I would pull the trigger without hesitation.
Regarding Mirza and Leuer , keeping noth are kind of redundant, I prefer Leuer, more team oriented guy.

I prefer Mirza. Guys like him have tremendous value in this league. Leuer is just a guy.

Speaking of stretch PF, have you seen Frye playing for the Cavs? He is doing pretty well. Visibly more active and energized, and his numbers are outstanding for the role he plays. 15mpg, 7.7ppg, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 0.4 TOs. 47'7% 3pt on four attempts.

I don't think they are redundant, though. I think they are pretty different players. Mirza is basically only instant offense. Leuer actually plays on both sides of the court and does what you want out of your backup stretch 4.
