Bonkers.
Only about $5M more than what Booker will be making when this deal starts in 2025-26. However, Lillard will be in his late 30's while Booker will still be in his prime.

"Wow" came to my lips when I saw it.

At least we agree on 1 thing.

The guy has done everything he can for your team. He could have asked out a dozen times, and everyone would say he is justified.
And the extension doesn't kick in until after the new TV deal. So for those saying 30M would basically be the average salary, 60 doesn't seem that bad.

That's a pretty friendly deal for both sides. Lots of money for Dame, but not a lot of years, so both sides have some flexibility if things don't work out. I like it.

It’s a 2 year extension on his current deal that has 3 more years. So overall it’s like 5 years 257 million

Ok that is a bit less friendly of a deal than I thought. Love Dame, but that feels like locking in to mediocrity for several years.

Might be relevant.
In my fantasy world, James Jones called in a favor to his Spurs contacts to claim Roby off waivers to include in a De'Andre Ayton deal.

INF: Would you rather have Poeltl or Myles Turner as a starting center on our team next year? Just curious.

I would rather have Poeltl.

Definitely Poeltl for me, too.

They are both on an expiring deal, so no added risk or security there.
Poeltl gives us more of what Ayton brings (great rebounding, solid help defense, good screens and can roll--but not as good as DA, no 3 point threat).
Turner gives us a different look (3 point threat, goes after every block at the rim/great rim protector, not great guarding the perimeter). I think CP3 would prefer Poeltl and KD/Book would prefer Turner.

Whichever gives us the most #1s to flip for KD...

I think they both offer something that we can use. Ultimately I think Poeltl is the better player.
What it comes down to is which team offers the best Ayton deal. I covet TJ McConnell on Indiana and Isaiah Roby on San Antonio. I don't think San Antonio is offering any picks in a potential deal, maybe second rounders. Indiana would offer the Boston pick IMO. So I would probably lean towards going with Indiana and a package that included Turner.

Turner is a dynamic player who would probably get more out of our coaching staff and team culture. Dude can get streaky from 3. He will play meaningful basketball. His blocks cause a lot of turnovers and he also recovers plenty of them himself.

Don’t know anything about this guy, would he make any sense for us?
