Are you telling me that the Morrii currently don't have the same agent even if for only a moment?

That is what has been reported.

No biggie, of course. You're the man when it comes to links.

Ouch!
"It's a dream come true," Markieff Morris said at the time. "We'd like to thank the Suns for believing in us. It feels like a family atmosphere and we felt it was right to re-sign as early as we did and be a part of this family for the long term."

D'oh!
"We value stability," GM Ryan McDonough said at the time. "We don't want to be a team that turns their roster over every year, especially unnecessarily. We wanted to get our core take care of."
Half the team is gone since that quote less than a year ago.

Wolves are looking to move Anthony Bennett. Would definitely take him for Markieff. And Markieff would be a good fit in Minny.

That would be a terrible trade for the Suns. Kieff is such a better player then Bennett. Again, you don't "have" to trade Kieff just because he wants out. Wait for the right deal...Not just a lottery ticket on a player who hasn't proven jack in the NBA.
Honestly if we wanted Bennett we can probabaly easily get him for the pick the celtics traded us for IT.

I'd do it if we added a pick swap this year, no protections.

No swap and I think about it. We keep our pick and get theirs, no protections.

Hey guys, not gonna start a thread about it but I've been in the hospital a couple times in the last 4 days. Not doing so well so I haven't been able to do my normal posting. If anyone wants to be the link guy for a bit or have it be a group effort I'd appreciate it.

Hope you are back to 100% soon, carey! We will put you on the injured reserve until then.

Get well Carey. How about a trade scenario to pass the time:
Phoenix out: Kieff, Archie, 2ndR
Phoenix in: McDermott, Nogueira, Hinrich, 1stR from Tor
Toronto out: Terrence Ross, James Johnson, Nogueira, 1stR
Toronto in: Kieff, filler from Chi (Moore, Bairstow) to make numbers work
Chi out McDermott, Hinrich, filler
Chi in Ross, JJ, 2ndR
Archie can be sent to either team if needed and the money still works.
· Chicago gets a young SG who at least should make a decent 3D role player with untapped potential and under control. Also a tough PF/SF who should have a place in their rotation before and after Taj comes back from injury, on a small expiring contract. They could see this as a lateral move and in terms of overall talent they may be right, but the swap gives them much better balance. Prospect for prospect, vet for vet, similar contracts. Only thing is Kirk is well loved so maybe they don't want to part ways with him (again).
· Toronto gets the best player (and contract, by a mile) in the deal and pays in prospects (not Caboclo), one protected pick (unless they want to give up the brazilian KD) and what becomes a redundant piece (Nogueira is redundant too with Biyombo on board). Above all, they keep 2Pat to make a pretty solid PF rotation alongside Valanciunas.
· Phoenix is the team giving up the dollar bill while receiving dimes, but that's what a trade demand does to you. The dimes in McD-Nogueira at least are still shinny and should have a shot at minutes. Hinrich actually solves a need at backup PG and provides leadership/experience. The pick is a must from our standpoint although there is room for something like rights to swap, in our favor of course.

I could work a way to involve PJ Tucker too, but that complicates things a lot for the Bulls unless Taj Gibson was in play.

I love Gibson and thought about a Kieff trade there but I also think Gibson and Chandler are a bit redundant. And again, I don't see why the Raptors would want both Patterson and Kieff.

JV-Kieff-2Pat-Biyombo/Nogueira at PF-C gives them a solid rotation for East standards even if they are not the Grizzlies. They need real help at PF and Kieff is by far the best available forward. Would you rather play Boozer? The kids are gifted but too raw and that franchise wants to take the next step now.
Those guys can fight against Atlanta, stand a chance against Cleveland and a healthy Bosh-Hassan-Amare-McBob (but health is a major question mark all around)
I think that's also better than Orlando's frontcourt at the moment (I really like Dedmon btw), better than Washington, Boston, Detroit, Brooklyn, Indiana, better than whatever Charlotte has now.
I like what NYK has done with Porzingis-Rolo (to work for Melo), and Milwaukee has a lot of talent.
