I could honestly care less what we get for TJ. Just move him and his salary already. He's useless to us.

Why even trade him if we get no future assets and no immediate cap space. All this does is give us space in 2020.
He is only "useless" to us because we have done such a shit job assembling a roster. You should be able to use a guy that shoots 40% from three and can score 18-20 points a game in the flow of the offense. Even if he doesn't do other things well. But he shouldn't be your 2nd or 3rd best player.
Gimme Oubre and Bridges shooting 37% but bringing some bounce, energy and defense. I can find scorers like TJ who don't rebound, aren't great defenders at their position and miss 20 games a year.Indy wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2019 10:30 amHe is only "useless" to us because we have done such a s*** job assembling a roster. Exactly. It's reaching a disrespect status and if the FO entertains a move with such mindset, we are going to get punished. Courtney Lee? Please.Indy wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2019 10:30 amHe is only "useless" to us because we have done such a s*** job assembling a roster. Sure good points, but how does that drop his value to zero? Courtney Lee does nothing for this team and actually costs us cap space this year. 18 points, 43% from 3, fair contract. There will be a market for him.ShelC wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2019 10:49 amWho do you really think we're getting back for TJ? Teams know we're looking to move him, know we have a logjam, know we're re-signing Oubre and have Bridges behind him. And there are like 30 SFs getting drafted tonight alone. So aside from getting a serviceable player back with a contract that ends earlier than TJ's, what are you expecting? It's not about disrespect, it's about reality. Should we head into next season with Oubre, Bridges and Warren on the roster?
Except you forgot the part where he can’t stay on the floor.Indy wrote:He is only "useless" to us because we have done such a s*** job assembling a roster. I'm good with that rotation at the wings. Bridges and Oubre can also play minutes at SG. I know not many agree, but I'm also ok with TJ some minutes as a fake PF in small ball rotations.
I am all for trading TJ if we get an upgrade (even if it costs us future assets or longer contracts). But giving him away doesn't help us unless we plan to use that money. I am not sure what our cap situation is for the summer of 2020, but these rumored deals do nothing for us this year.Superbone wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2019 10:55 amExcept you forgot the part where he can’t stay on the floor.Indy wrote:He is only "useless" to us because we have done such a s*** job assembling a roster. Agreed, but I don't think it is a stretch to say that Bridges can effectively play some time at 2 and 3. If his body fills out some, I think he can be effective as a small ball 4, too.
Isn't Jackson still under contract? Do you not think of him as a SF?Indy wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2019 11:20 amAgreed, but I don't think it is a stretch to say that Bridges can effectively play some time at 2 and 3. If his body fills out some, I think he can be effective as a small ball 4, too.
Oh, and we do not have 4 viable SFs. Right now we actually only have 2 under contract--Bridges and Warren. Sure we will likely bring back Ourbre, but that isn't done yet.

He’s great at falling to the floor though.Superbone wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2019 10:55 amExcept you forgot the part where he can’t stay on the floor.Indy wrote:He is only "useless" to us because we have done such a s*** job assembling a roster.
