Ibaka is older than Chris Paul.
uh, no. Ibaka is 31. Paul is 35.
On paper.

I was being facetious because of the questions around Ibaka's age. Paul is a young 35 and Ibaka is an old thirty-whatever.

Sorry. It does seem like Ibaka has been in the NBA forever ...

And, has somebody mentioned earlier, Ibaka wants big bucks and shouldn't be on the Suns radar ...

< 4 assists / game at 36 mpg...lame...big time lame...waste of a draft pick, especially if Hayes, Terry, Lewis are there...come on...
If you’re talking about Bane, he’s not a pg, so that’s actually pretty good and I believe higher than Terry who is a pg.

No worries. I knew someone would say something.

The Suns will trade back in the first round, Vassell will drop and a bunch of people will be screaming for the Suns to take him.
Instead they'll take Bane and everyone will roast James Jones for it because someone on a website said it was 5-10 spots "too early".

Spot on FF.
There will also be someone available in the 2nd round we simply must have and JJones will be roasted for doing nothing to get that player.
That player will likely put up good numbers being spoon fed on a contender for a year but disappearing out of the league 2-3 years later

Article mentions Nesmith as the only in-person workout they're aware of, usual suspects have had virtual interviews and Bane worked out for the Suns last year so they've at least seen him in person. Kevin O'Connel said there's buzz around Nesmith and Bey for the Suns.

Don't know how much we can trust Gambo these days but he ruled out Kira Lewis Jr., Vassell, Hayes, and Okoro. The Suns have also spoken with some end of the 1st mocked guys which is interesting since we don't have a second pick. Tre Jones, Bane & Zeke.
I think right now it's going to be one of these 4 if we keep #10 and I've ranked them in the order I feel the Suns have them: Patrick Williams, Bey, Nesmith, and Bane.

Base is an interesting prospect (so physically developed, terrific 3pt range, plays defense) but doesn't make positional sense to us if he can't play SF.

We really want to load up on small forwards. One thing is becoming clear to me, Oubre is gone.

So now with the trade and CP3 on board, Rubio and Oubre gone how do we think this affects our draft strategy? Do we look to replace Kelly with a SF or swing forward or still have a PG to develop in our sights?

That's why I picked Williams. Defense and rebounding. Kid has a high work rate ...

Sounds like we are keeping Saric/Payne/Carter. I go for a wing shooter. Nesmith is probably my pick now.

I still want Hayes or Lewis. For the next 2 years, we will be asking who will back up Chris Paul or replace Chris Paul when he retires. Might as well have him help mentor whoever could come next.

Won’t be upset with Lewis or Hayes. Think we are in win now mode and will prioritize someone who can play now though.

It's an interesting pick but he does seem to be rising on some boards so he might not be available. I think we also know Jones puts an emphasis on shooting which is where guys like Nesmith, Vassell, Bane and Bey come in. I like Bey's size more than the others, tho taking him 10 may be a reach (like that's stopped Jones before). Bane is probably the most well rounded of the group.

You can make an argument to take someone at either the guard or wing position, so I'd just go best player available.
