A 28 year old rookie is right up James Jones' alley.
What they do in their home is their business, what’s that got to do with how he plays basketball?
Wants to see his ball handling skills up close and personal.

Just Ainge doing Ainge things.
He DGAF about the Jazz record this season so now he's just waiting for someone to overpay for one of his best players (again).

I'm all for more competitive, meaningful games. There's a saturation point, but I think integrating a tournament into the 82-game regular season is still pretty far away from that mark.

Great, the current luxury tax system have created an additional competitive advantage for teams with unlimited pockets instead of leveling the field. Wonder if a hard cap is coming.

Players would never agree to a hard cap. Teams would just have to agree to more revenue sharing…or harsher luxury tax penalties, but they are already pretty harsh.

The in-season tournament is the most awful idea ever. It ruins the sport. You’re gonna have two championships every year? Gross.

I think we'll survive.
Wanna do things the same way forever, go watch baseball. Oh wait, they also changed their rules to make more money.

New revenue stream for the owners. They've probably maxed out on selling everything else so they're adding more games/events like the play-in and midseason tourney.

That’s a little dramatic haha…just don’t watch it and pretend it doesn’t exist if you hate it that much. Personally I think it’s nice to have more games that mean something. The regular season has been losing its importance.

I don’t understand why people are so against players asking to be traded. Teams can trade players whenever they want and there’s not a huge outcry about that. I personally think there should be something more formal set up. Like if a player requests a trade, the team has a certain amount of time to fulfill the request or the requesting player gets an early opt out of their contract.
I don’t know if that would work, but something to level the playing field would be nice. I guess you could go the other way and make no trade clauses for players more available. Player movement drives engagement though so I feel like the nba wouldn’t want that.

I don't think I like the idea of an in-season tournament unless it meant reducing the number of regular season games down from 82. I don't want them just adding even more games to wear the players out. But the owners seem reluctant to come down from 82 games for fear of losing revenue. As others have said plenty of times, I think it would be good for the game if they went down to maybe 70 or 72 games a season so the players got more rest.
