As often as Bleds and AASE get injured, you probably won't have to wait long.Phoenix219 wrote:I don't think I can watch this team again until we have different starting guards.

So, we would be a team of has-beens with no future prospects and the inability to compete right now. We would be giving starter minutes to Amare with no young prospects.Phoenix219 wrote:We should have never let Frye left, or alienated Dragic. We should have an Amare farewell tour going on right now. Thats quite an assumption to make. We have been mediocre for years now, and I for one would have preferred watching players that I enjoy as opposed to the shit show we have been seeing. We still would have been bad, and gotten young players and draft picks. I never said Amare should be playing starter's minutes (or that it wouldn't be just bringing him home for his final year.) I would have rather watched Frye then the 2 PFS we just lost or the Morris twins. We didn't need to shit all over our own team during this "rebuild" that has lasted years and has done absolutely nothing but drive me away from a team I have watched with a passion since the 90s. No thanks.
No way he would do that... you know, once a Knick, always a Knick!!!Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:If we want to give Amare Stoudemire $100,000,000, there's still time. I bet he'd break that Israeli contract and come play here for that much right now.

Very true for GMs. Not true for some fans, apparently. The Bobster wrote:Eventually there's going to come a time when.... you just have to be able to let it go.
It's the Uncle Rico syndrome.Shabazz wrote:Very true for GMs. Not true for some fans, apparently. The Bobster wrote:Eventually there's going to come a time when.... you just have to be able to let it go.

For the first time in his career, LeBron is the highest player in the league. Probably won't last that way beyond this season with the second big cap spike incoming. I can't imagine the monstrosity he'll sign after the first two years, though.carey wrote:LBJ is signing a 3-year $100M deal with the Cavs.
He's sure as hell earned it. Much more so than DeRozan/Conley/Lillard etc.Ring_Wanted wrote:For the first time in his career, LeBron is the highest player in the league. The thing is that you as a small franchise can't do better, most of times, so it is better overpaying than losing the player for nothing. The draft is the 'proper way', we know, but it is really hard to find gold, and the truth is fans do lose interest.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:^ I agree. I don't mind the high player salaries for the league's proven best players. I just don't get giving $20-30m a year to a guy like those three you mentioned. It becomes a small market team's only desperate way to keep a star in their city.
With some of them, absolutely.Phoenix219 wrote:So, its okay that a small franchise overpays rather then lose the player for nothing, so that the fans lose interest.....
Yet we still defend that we made the right choices with our former players?
